Michael Haynie (Wicked, Dogfight), Zachary Prince (On A Clear Day…) and Sam Heldt (Junie B. Jones) have joined the lineup of performers for musical theater writer Adam Gwon's upcoming concert at 54 Below on Monday April 8, 2013 at 9:30pm. Heading up a five-piece band, Gwon will premiere brand-new songs and share fresh and funny tunes from his musicals Ordinary Days, Cloudlands, The Boy Detective Fails, and String.

Casa 0101 Theater, Josefina Lopez, Artistic Director, will present the play, 'Tamales De Puerco (Pork Tamales),' A Trilingual Play in English, Spanish and American Sign Language, written by Mercedes Floresislas, directed by Edward Padilla. Preview performances will be presented on Wednesday and Thursday, April 3 and 4, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. Opening Night is Friday, April 5, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. The play will be presented in a Limited Run for four weeks from April 5 - 28, 2013 at the New Casa 0101 Theater; 2102 E. Community Film Studio Santa Barbara presents their first feature-length film THE BET at the Arlington Theatre (Santa Barbara, CA) on April 19th and 20th, 2013 at 7 p.m. This delightful romantic comedy marks the directorial debut of Finola Hughes, veteran film and television actress and local Carpinteria resident. The film was produced by Christine Fry, James Kahn, and Jack Presnal. Annie J. Dahlgren and Christina Eliason wrote the script, which pits a teenager against his grandfather in a wager over who will find love first. If the teen wins, he acquires his deceased father's vintage muscle car; and if the grandfather wins, the teen has to rebuild the family porch and re-do the landscaping.

The Hilton Arlington Hotel, located near Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas between Dallas and Forth Worth, enters into the final phase of its extensive multimillion-dollar hotel renovation. The total hotel refresh will include all 308 guestrooms and suites, public corridors, lobby, meeting and event space, exterior facade, fitness and business centers, and executive lounge. The majority of the hotel renovation is expected to be complete by the end of 2013, while enhancements to the public areas of the hotel and its restaurant are scheduled for completion in early 2014. The hotel has completed the renovation of six guestroom floors and all of its 11,000-square-feet of meeting and function spaces.

Artes de la Rosa can now confirm that casting is complete for the Fort Worth Premiere of the Tony award winning musical, In the Heights. Directed by artistic director Adam Adolfo, the Lin Manuel Miranda musical will run May 17 - June 9 at The Rose Marine Theatre. Previously announced star, Matthew Ransdell, who will play Usnavi, will be joined by costars Sarah Marie Dickerson as Vanessa, Joshua Sherman as Benny, and Lorens Portalatin as Nina. Also starring as Grafitti Pete is Michael Anthony Sylvester and Rashaun Sibley as Sonny, both of whom are making their Artes de la Rosa debut.
