My expectations for the premiere of MIDWESTERN GOTHIC at Signature Theatre were so high that the musical itself was bound to fall short, no matter what. Billed as a darkly funny thriller, it's got atmosphere in spades and boasts laudable performances from a cast of committed actors. But that isn't enough to keep the whole affair from feeling like an interesting concept still in search of a form.

Produced by the Boch Center, ArtWeek today announced its largest season lineup ever. The award-winning creative festival will offer more than 250 events from April 28 - May 7-representing a more than 40 percent increase over the spring and fall 2016 festivals. ArtWeek events provide participants with new ways to experience art, culture, and creativity, and will now be held in 13 new neighborhoods and towns across Eastern Massachusetts, with a total presence in more than 70 communities. In collaboration with ArtSpring Cape Cod, this season's festival will feature nearly 30 events on Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, and Nantucket.

Having just finished shooting her second feature length film, 'Night Rain,' in January, which aims for release later in 2017, Spicuzza is set to make 'Breath of God' as a European co-production, eyeing a start date in 2018.

The Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy's Percent for Art Program and Philadelphia International Airport are pleased to announce the completion of Nonstop, a new site-specific public artwork by Philadelphia-based artist Arden Bendler Browning. This commission is part of a restroom renovation in Terminal E. These renovations and other improvements enhance the airport's experience for the 30 million plus annual passengers by providing them with world-class amenities, facilities, and public art.
