Atlantic Theater Company (Neil Pepe, Artistic Director, Jeffory Lawson, Managing Director) is proud to announce three of its 2009-2010 season productions. The main stage season at the Linda Gross Theater will mark premieres from Atlantic co-founder David Mamet and Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Sam Shepard, while Bekah Brunstetter makes her Off Broadway debut at Stage 2 with the world premiere of a new comedy.

The Topanga Philharmonic Orchestra (TPO) celebrates its gala 30th anniversary with a concert of family fare to benefit programming at The Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum. Conductor Guido Lamell of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra is joined by musicians of the Los Angeles and Santa Monica Philharmonic Orchestras, and Theatricum artistic director Ellen Geer weaves theatrical magic into the music with selections from the upcoming Mainstage Repertory Season that includes Julius Caesar and Cymbeline by William Shakespeare, The Cherry Orchard by Anton Chekov and The Miser by Moliere. The benefit performance to support the non-profit theater's repertory and education programs that entertain, inspire and educate thousands of Angelenos each year, will take place at Theatricum Botaniucm's rustic outdoor amphitheater in Topanga on Saturday, May 16 at 2:00 pm.

Performances are April 9 through May 2, 2009 at the Plaza Theatre at the Boston Center for the Arts, 539 Tremont Street in Boston's South End. American Stage Theatre Company has decided to celebrate the final days in their current building before they move into their new state-of-the-art theatre this June. To commemorate the end of an era, American Stage has two special productions planned to close its old building. First will be Samuel Beckett's beautiful statement on the need for change, HAPPY DAYS, on April 25, followed by a staged reading of Anton Chekov's valentine to saying goodbye, THE CHERRY ORCHARD, on May 2.

THE HOUNDING OF DAVID OLUWALE is the true story of David Oluwale, a Nigerian immigrant who came to Leeds in search of a new life but found only brutality and the determination of one man to find him justice. On the 4th of May 1969 a bruised and swollen body was pulled from the River Aire in Leeds. Identified as that of David Oluwale, a local homeless man, his death exposed a campaign of systematic police brutality which shook the city of Leeds and led to the imprisonment of 2 police officers accused of his murder. Adapted by Oladipo Agboluaje, from Kester Aspden's award winning book of the same title, this Eclipse Theatre world premiere production will be staged at (venue) on (dates) in the 40th anniversary year of the death of David Oluwale as part of a UK tour.

Anton Chekov's The Cherry Orchard appears to be a simple story, but is so much more; the issues, conflicts and passions burst in color, like a cherry orchard in bloom, on the stage.
