Tarragon Theatre announces its 11-play, 2012-2013 season of contemporary plays, including a mini-festival of new works by Hannah Moscovitch; a Tarragon writing debut from David Yee; returning artists David S. Young and Asha and Ravi Jain; and work from Melody A. Johnson, John Mighton, Michel Nadeau and Morris Panych.

Brave New World Repertory Theatre (BNW), has announced its Spring Residency 2012 at the Brooklyn Lyceum. Running from April 1st through May 13th, the Residency will offer a range of theatre-based activities for all ages - plays, classes and readings for Brooklynites and all city residents who love theatre.

Award-winning director Bart DeLorenzo returns to the Odyssey to direct an exuberant and burlesque-spirited version of Anton Chekhov's Ivanov, the story of a once idealistic man turned apathetic from a life going terribly, terribly wrong. DeLorenzo plans a fresh approach to this little-known classic -- no birch trees, samovars, or wicker furniture - in a riotous production that promises to be ridiculous, soulful, and sexy. Nominations in 14 categories were announced today by the Off-Broadway League for the 2012 Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway. This year's ceremony will once again benefit The Actors Fund. The Lortel Awards will be handed out on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at NYU Skirball Center beginning at 7:00pm EST.

Target Margin Theater (David Herskovits, Artistic Director; John Del Gaudio, Managing Director) has announced the complete cast for its reimagined look at Anton Chekhov's UNCLE VANYA. Performances begin Thursday, April 26, 2012 for a limited engagement through Saturday, May 19 2012 at HERE (145 Sixth Avenue, entrance on Dominick Street, one block south of Spring). The Theatre School at DePaul University will present BARRIO GRRRL! A MUSICAL (book and lyrics by Quiara Alegria Hudes, music by Bill Sherman, musical direction by Mark Elliott, and directed by Lisa Portes) as the final production of the 2011-2012 Chicago Playworks for Families and Young Audiences Series. BARRIO GRRRL! A MUSICAL opens Tuesday, March 27, and runs through Saturday, May 12, 2012, at DePaul's historic Merle Reskin Theatre. Performances are Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10 AM and Saturdays at 2 PM. There will be no performance on March 31, April 3, April 5, April 7, April 28, May 1, May 3, or May 5.
