The Susan Smith Blackburn Prize honors 10 Finalists for its prestigious playwriting award, now celebrating its thirty-fifth year.

Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Executive Director Greg Reiner, announced today that PS Classics, home to a dozen Sondheim cast albums, will record and release the cast recording of its critically-acclaimed new production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Tony Award-winning musical PASSION, directed by John Doyle.

Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Executive Director Greg Reiner, announced today that their critically-acclaimed new production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Tony Award-winning musical PASSION, directed by John Doyle (director of the acclaimed Broadway revivals of Sondheim's Sweeney Todd and Company), will extend once again by popular demand for four additional performances through Friday, April 19 at CSC (136 East 13th Street). PASSION stars Melissa Errico (Clara), Judy Kuhn (Fosca) and Ryan Silverman (Giorgio). The production also features Stephen Bogardus (Colonel Ricci), Jeffry Denman (Lieutenant Barri), Jason Michael Evans (Private Augenti), Ken Krugman (Lieutenant Torasso), Orville Mendoza (Sergeant Lombardi), Tom Nelis (Doctor Tambourri), Will Reynolds (Major Rizzoli/Ludovic), John Antony (understudy) and Amy Justman (understudy). CSC also announced that twenty $10 tickets for each of the final four performances - Tuesday, April 16 at 7pm, Wednesday, April 17 at 7pm, Thursday, April 18 at 8pm and Friday, April 19 at 8pm - generously underwritten by TheaterMania.com and Aaron Lieber/Bruce Horten. These special $10 tickets will go on sale to the public Tuesday, Apri1 2 at 12pm, available in person at the CSC Box Office only.

Huntington Theatre Company in association with Jonathan Reinis Productions and WGBH present the hit public-radio series and podcast Selected Shorts on Tour: "Tales of Springtime, Sex & Baseball" at the Boston University Theatre June 8 at 4pm and 8pm. Tony Award nominee and Emmy Award winner Kate Burton ("Grey's Anatomy," The Cherry Orchard, and the upcoming The Seagull at the Huntington), Emmy Award nominee and Tony Award winner Denis O'Hare ("True Blood" and "American Horror Story"), and Academy Award nominee Amy Ryan (Gone Baby Gone) perform powerful, surprising, romantic, and funny stories by comic master Dorothy Parker, baseball writer W. The Public Theater began previews for the world premiere of DETROIT '67, a Public Lab production by Dominique Morisseau, on Tuesday, February 26. Directed by Kwame Kwei-Armah, DETROIT '67 will run through Sunday, March 17 and opened last night in The Public's Shiva Theater. Additionally, the English language premiere of NEVA, written and directed by Guillermo Calderon, opened last night. WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director Terry Martin today announced a series of new Saturday morning acting classes for children. The 7-week course, designed for children in grades 1 through 4, starts Saturday, March 23 and goes to Saturday, May 4, 2013. The cost is $315 per child.
