Spring Shakespeare Season Continues With HAMLET

Theatre for a New Audience's Winter-Spring Shakespeare Season which begins with Othello (February 14 - March 7) continues with Hamlet which previews Sunday, March 15, at 7:00pm, opens Thursday, March 26, at 6:30pm and plays through April 19. Both productions play at The Duke on 42nd Street SM, a New 42nd Street? project, 229 West 42nd Street. Hamlet features Christian Camargo in the title role. The production is directed by David Esbjornson. Joining Mr. Camargo will be Alyssa Bresnahan as Gertrude, Alvin Epstein as Polonius, Graham Hamilton as Laertes, Jennifer Ikeda as Ophelia and Patrick Page as Claudius.

Explore The Imagination With Yasmina Reza's ART 2/5-6/7

Steppenwolf Theatre Company continues its 2008-2009 season, an exploration of the imagination, with Art by Yasmina Reza, translated by Christopher Hampton and directed by ensemble member Rick Snyder. Art will feature multiple casts over the run of the production including ensemble members Ian Barford, K. Todd Freeman and Francis Guinan with Joe Dempsey and John Procaccino. Art runs February 5 - June 7, 2009 in Steppenwolf's Upstairs Theatre, 1650 N. Halsted St. The press performance is Saturday, February 14 at 3 p.m.

Will Eno's 'Tragedy' Premieres at Berkeley Rep; Les Waters Directs

This March, be among the first people in America to see Will Eno's Tragedy: a tragedy at the Tony Award-winning Berkeley Repertory Theatre. An apocalyptic comedy by an intriguing new playwright, Tragedy makes its American premiere as part of Berkeley Rep's 40th birthday party, directed by Obie Award-winner Les Waters. Presented on the intimate Thrust Stage, Tragedy begins previews on March 14, opens March 19, and closes April 13, 2008.

27th Annual Helen Hayes Awards Nominations Announced

Christine Andreas, Elena Shaddow, David Burnham, Steve Kazee, Judith Ivey and Bill Pullman are among the nominees of the 27th Annual Helen Hayes Awards, celebrating achievement in Washington, D.C.-area theatre.

The Pillowman at Berkeley Rep Jan.12 - Feb.25

The League Of Off-Broadway Theatres And Producers is proud to announce the nominations for THE 20TH ANNUAL LUCILLE LORTEL AWARDS FOR OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT OFF-BROADWAY, which will be presented on Monday, May 2nd at Dodger Stages (340 West 50th Street) at 7 PM. A late night supper will follow at Ruth's Chris Steak House (148 West 51st Street). A cocktail reception to congratulate all of the nominees will be held on April 18th at Ruby Foo's Uptown (2182 Broadway at 77th Street).
