Earlier this year, Lincoln Center's acclaimed series American Songbook, in keeping with American Songbook's tradition of honoring great composers and lyricists, welcomed IF/THEN composers Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey. The March 1st program featured Kitt & Yorkey, joined by leading lady Idina Menzel, who previewed two songs from the show- 'Here I Go' and 'Learn to Live Without' and you can check out the flashback below!

According to The Wrap, Broadway vet Cheyenne Jackson has joined the cast of a pilot for Lifetime titled 'HR.' The actor joins previously announced cast members Greg Germann, Will Kemp, Kellee Stewar, Maulik Pancholy, Peter Fonda and Cara Mantella.

The accomplished and impressive cast of the highly anticipated new musical IF/THEN, including headliners Idina Menzel and Anthony Rapp, can be spotted in new rehearsal shots just released of the actors in action while the show rehearses for its out-of-town tryout in Washington, D.C., opening next month.

Continuing its 10th Anniversary Season, Bay Area Cabaret presents America's Romantic Piano Sensation, Jim Brickman in concert. Making his first San Francisco appearance in nearly ten years, Mr. Brickman will perform solo at 8pm, and with special guest Broadway tenor David Burnham at 5pm, Sunday, November 10, at the historic Venetian Room of the Fairmont San Francisco, 950 Mason Street. A lineup of over 120 solo performers from six continents and 23 countries will present their shows during the fourth annual world's largest solo theatre festival, today, October 3 - November 24 at Theatre Row on 42nd Street. Twenty-five shows are currently sold out, with others set to reach that status over the next several days. Compared to the inaugural season three years ago, United Solo expanded its schedule four times, from two to eight weeks, gaining the status of a resident company at Theatre Row.

According to Birdland's website, Broadway veteran Cheyenne Jackson will be making his debut at the venue with his brand new show, featuring songs from his new album, 'I'm Blue Skies', as well as classics from his acclaimed one-man show 'Music of the Mad Men Era,' which sold out at Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center. Jackson will be working with long-time musical director Ben Toth at Birdland on December 1 & 2, 2013 at 6 PM and 9:15 PM, respectively.

Coming up this week, 54 BELOW, the performance venue located just below the legendary Studio 54 at 254 West 54th Street, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz and beyond. 54 Below also launched its series of late night events.
