BROADWAY BACKWARDS 7 will play Broadway's Al Hirschfeld Theatre tonight at 8pm. The show will feature some of Broadway's biggest names singing songs originally written for the opposite gender: women singing songs written for men and men singing songs written for women. By keeping the lyrics intact, including the original pronouns, each song takes on a new dimension.

A limited number of $40 rush tickets to the star-studded BROADWAY BACKWARDS 7 will be released for sale at 6:30 PM Monday, March 5, 2012. The rush tickets will be sold outside the Al Hirschfeld Theater (302 West 45th Street) and will not be available at the box office. Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, cash only and are limited to two tickets per person. The show begins at 8 PM.

"Any Dream Will Do" sings the title character, Joseph, in Andrew Lloyd Webber's classic musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. But for Anthony Fedorov, the former American Idol contestant and recording artist, who will don the multi-colored coat when that same show arrives at the Fox on June 26, those words aren't just lyrics in a play, but the theme of his own career that has evolved over the past 6 years. But as we've seen over the past ten years, American Idol and the Broadway stage are not mutually exclusive - not by a long shot! In fact, it's the opposite: every single season of the show has either borrowed talent from the New York theatre or created stars that have rocked musicals on Broadway and/or on national tours across the country.

Ordway Center for the Performing Arts today announced the cast for its holiday production of JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, opening December 7, 2010 and running through January 2, 2011.

Heather Headley, Alli Mauzey, Jodi Benson and Anthony Federov will headline a special concert version of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, set for Friday, May 14, at Nashville's Schermerhorn Symphony Center. They will be joined by a cast of Nashville theatre luminaries - and featuring BeBe Winans and Nashville native Jake Speck, currently on Broadway in Jersey Boys - Cinderella is the spring celebration of the locally based showHOPE organization, which hopes to bring both attention and awareness to its efforts across the globe.

For Matt Logan, staging a special concert version of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella is the culmination of a long-held dream of his to bring just such a production to his hometown of Nashville, perhaps best known as Music City USA. Now, with Nashville rebuilding after devastating floods in early May, the benefit performance for Mary Beth and Steven Curtis Chapman's showHOPE organization is perhaps even more timely -- and it has certainly taken on a deeper meaning and a more compelling resonance.

Jennifer Paz (Les Misérables) will play the role of the Narrator and Dusty 45's Billy Joe Huels will join the cast as Pharaoh. James A. Rocco will return to 5th Avenue to direct. JOSEPH will open October 10th and run through November 1st.

Nick Spangler currently starring as Matt in the Off Broadway revival of The Fantasticks, will be a contestant on the latest edition of The Amazing Race. Spangler will compete against the other 'Amazing Racers' with his sister and teammate, Starr Spangler, a former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. Starting at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, the 13th season of the Emmy-winning reality competition will follow the teams as they travel over 30,000 miles in 23 days to countries such as Brazil, Bolivia, Russia, India and Kazakhstan.

The Fantasticks star Nick Spangler is about to take the greatest adventure of his life as he becomes a competitor on the hit CBS reality series, 'The Amazing Race', joining him as his teammate will be his sister, Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Starr Spangler. The Amazing Race Season 13 premieres on CBS September 28th at 8pm.

'The Fantasticks', the world's longest-running musical, will return after a brief hiatus to Broadway's Snapple Theater Center for performances beginning June 16, 2008.
