The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust announces the full complement of programming scheduled to be presented at the 55th annual Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival, a production of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. The 10-day celebration of the arts in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is unlike any other in the nation. The world-class, multi-disciplinary festival is free to attend and is open to the public. Using material evidence, hearsay and forensics, along with specially commissioned fictional stories, the exhibition considers these fascinating pieces drawn from the NGV's extensive collection of over 8,000 items.

As part of Oregon Children's Theatre's 2nd annual Bully Project competition, middle school students (6-8th grade) from Oregon and Washington were invited to write original, 10-minute plays about bullying. Six finalists were selected by a panel of classroom teachers, members of the OCT Young Professionals Company, and OCT staff. Each finalist was mentored by professional playwrights Matthew B. Zrebski or Debbie Lamedman of Playwrights West to refine and revise their scripts. The final scripts will be featured at a public staged reading at the Winningstad Theatre (1111 SW Broadway, Portland) on May 11th at 5pm where members of OCT's Young Professionals program will direct and perform the six plays.

Bringing together an intergalactic performance as only FringeArts can, The Beautiful Noise: A Special Tribute to Sun Ra will be presented as an unrehearsed, one-time-only event on Friday, June 6. Curated by composer King Britt and artist Kate Watson Wallace, electronic-based musicians, body-based performers and videos artists will improvise a never before, never again collision of artistic synergy in tribute to their music hero, jazz surrealist Sun Ra.
