The Old Globe today announced it will present the Third Annual New Voices Festival, a weekend of readings of new American plays by professional playwrights, January 15 - 17, 2016.

An Equity staged reading of PRESENTING ETHEL MERMAN, a new play with music tracing the ups and downs of the famed Broadway star affectionately known as 'the Merm', is being held today, October 13, in a private presentation for industry producers and insiders.

BroadwayWorld has just learned that an Equity staged reading of PRESENTING ETHEL MERMAN, a new play with music tracing the ups and downs of the famed Broadway star affectionately known as 'the Merm', is currently rehearsing for private presentations to industry producers and insiders.

Anne Torsiglieri, KJ Sanchez, and James Still present new plays via the UCSB Launch Pad workshop program. Readings are free and open to the public: Thursdays in August: 8/6, 8/13, and 8/20.

Through the eyes of her historical and modern-day female characters, Caryl Churchill explores these questions and others in her play, Top Girls. Thomas, a successful businessman and the descendent of former slaves to the estate, has a plan to save the land: turn it into subdivisions and sell it to the white families fleeing the city. Wendy C. Goldberg, Artistic Director of the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center's National Playwrights Conference (NPC) and Paulette Haupt, Artistic Director of the National Music Theater Conference (NMTC), announced the actors cast in their 2008 projects. The actors include a mix of award-winning actors from stage and screen, seasoned O'Neill performers, and new talent.

The York Theatre Company will present I Can Get It for You Wholesale, the 52nd musical presentation in its Musical in Mufti Series of staged concerts, by Jerome Weidman and Harold Rome, on October 21, 22 and 23.
