Casting has been announced for the Providence engagement of Disney's THE LION KING. The six-time Tony Award winner triumphantly returns to the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) for a limited three-week engagement, from Tuesday, February 28 to Sunday, March 19, 2017.

Disney Theatrical Productions and the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) announced today that tickets for the long-awaited return engagement of Disney's THE LION KING will go on sale to the public today, November 18, 2016 at 10A. Providence's most eagerly awaited return will once again leap onto the PPAC stage for a limited engagement of 3 weeks from Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 7P through Sunday, March 19, 2017 at 1P. The opening night is on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 7:30P.

Disney Theatrical Productions and the New Orleans Theatre Association announced today tickets for the long-awaited engagement of Disney's THE LION KING will go on sale to the public Friday, Oct. 14, at 10 a.m. The show will leap onto the Saenger Theatre stage for the first time Wednesday, Jan. 4, for a limited engagement of four weeks through Sunday, Jan. 29. Disney's The Lion King concluded its second triumphant engagement in Dayton on Sunday, July 3 at the Benjamin & Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center. The four-week return grossed over $5 million at the box office and entertained nearly 68,000 patrons during 32 performances. The award-winning musical's four-week premiere engagement in 2011 played a record-breaking run at The Schuster Center.

Shanghai Disney Resort celebrated the global premiere of the first Mandarin production of Disney's THE LION KING Tuesday night in a gala affair at the Walt Disney Grand Theatre. The premiere launched the Grand Opening festivities for the new resort, which officially opens on June 16.
