Steppenwolf's BELLEVILLE Begins 6/27

Steppenwolf Theatre Company concludes the 2012/13 subscription season with the Chicago premiere of Belleville by Amy Herzog, directed by Anne Kauffman. Belleville features ensemble members Alana Arenas and Kate Arrington with Chris Boykin and Cliff Chamberlain. Belleville begins previews June 27, 2013 (Opening night is July 7; Press performances are July 6 at 3pm and July 9 at 7:30pm) and runs through August 25 in Steppenwolf's Downstairs Theatre (1650 N Halsted St). Tickets ($20 - $78) go on sale Friday, April 26 at 11am.

3 New Plays Set for Clubbed Thumb's 2013 SUMMERWORKS at The Wild Project, 5/24-6/29

SUMMERWORKS 2013 - the annual season of new plays presented by the four-time Obie Award-winning theater company Clubbed Thumb -- is set for its 18th season May 24th to June 29th at The Wild Project (195 E. 3rd Street) in Manhattan, it has been announced by Maria Striar, Clubbed Thumb's Producing Artistic Director.

Soho Rep's 15th Annual Writer/Director Lab Begins 4/1

Since its founding in 1998, Soho Rep's Writer/Director Lab has fostered the development of emerging playwrights and directors, providing mentorship and resources for their new theatrical works. From April 1 through May 13, the organization will present public readings of the fruits of this year's Lab, the 15th in Soho Rep's history.

South Coast Repertory Opens World Premiere Production of SMOKEFALL, 3/29

South Coast Repertory presents the world premiere of Noah Haidle's Smokefall, a co-production with Goodman Theatre in Chicago, directed by Obie Award-winning director Anne Kauffman. Smokefall is a cornerstone of this year's Pacific Playwrights Festival. Performances on the Segerstrom Stage run March 29-April 28. Tickets are available online: www.scr.org.

WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT & More Set for NYTW's 2013-14 Season!

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director William Russo just announced that its 2013-2014 subscriber season will include What's It All About? Bacharach Reimagined, with musical arrangements by Kyle Riabko and directed by Steven Hoggett; Fetch Clay, Make Man written by Will Power and directed by Des McAnuff; and Love and Information written by Caryl Churchill and directed by James Macdonald. In the coming weeks NYTW will announce an additional production that will round out the season.

Kellie Overbey, Quentin Mare and More Set for SLEEPING ROUGH Off-Broadway

Casting has been announced for the world-premiere of Kara Manning's play SLEEPING ROUGH, directed by Tony Award nominee Sam Buntrock and presented Off-Broadway at the Wild Project (195 East 3rd Street) by Page 73 Productions, currently celebrating its 15th season presenting works by up-and-coming playwrights in New York. Performances of SLEEPING ROUGH will begin April 3 prior to an official press opening of April 11. Tickets for SLEEPING ROUGH are now on sale.
