The Vineyard Announces SOMEWHERE FUN Cast - Kathleen Chalfant, Kate Mulgrew and More!

By:

The Vineyard Theatre has announced the cast for the world-premiere of Jenny Schwartz's SOMEWHERE FUN. Ms. Schwartz returns to The Vineyard following her critically acclaimed play GOD'S EAR in 2008.

SOMEWHERE FUN follows Rosemary and Evelyn, two women who met "a hundred thousand years ago" in Central Park when their children were barely born, and who are reunited on Madison Avenue one windy fall day thirty-five years later. With their children now grown and the world changing rapidly before (what's left of) their eyes, each finds herself face to face with the terrors, joys, and surprises of life and time.

The Vineyard is thrilled to welcome Jenny Schwartz back to their stage with this wildly original story about connection - to our families, our memories, our moment in time. Schwartz reunites with director Anne Kauffman following their collaboration on GOD'S EAR.

The cast of SOMEWHERE FUN features Makenna Ballard (A Little Game), Richard Bekins (LOVE! VALOUR! COMPASSION!, "Another World"), Griffin Birney (THE BIG MEAL, Billy Elliot ), Brooke Bloom (LUNGS, Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close), Kathleen Chalfant (ANGELS IN AMERICA, "House of Cards"), Greg Keller (BELLEVILLE, WIT), Kate Mulgrew (EQUUS, "Star Trek: Voyager"), Maria Elena Ramirez (BLOODY BLOODY Andrew Jackson, THE THUGS), and Mary Shultz (GO BACK TO WHERE YOU ARE, Quiz Show).

SOMEWHERE FUN has set design by Marsha Ginsberg, costume design by Jessica Pabst, lighting design by Japhy Weideman, sound design by Daniel Kluger, and wig design by Paul Huntley. Megan Schwarz Dickert is the Production Stage Manager.

Tickets for SOMEWHERE FUN will go on sale to the general public on Tuesday April 2. Performances will begin on Wednesday May 15.
