Kudos to Stage West for programming such an enormous and ambitious project. And the opening night performance was the BEST production I have ever seen at Stage West, - a TRIUMPH! Stage West's theatrical barre is raised to an all time height with this production! BRAVO!

The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre's Executive Producer & CEO, Bill Kiska, announced that the international blockbuster Les Miserables will play the theatre during the summer of 2014. As Frederick's only year-round producing theater, Way Off Broadway is preparing to reach a milestone when its 2014 Season opens in January. Elizabeth & the Catapult will kick off her November residency at Rockwood Music Hall on Monday, November 11 playing shows on Novewmber 16, 18 and 25 at the venue. The band will be performing tracks from their new album Like It Never Happened which is due out on January 21 on Scratchback Records in conjunction with Thirty Tigers.

The Public Theater will continue its Public Forum season with PUBLIC FORUM SOLO: JOSEPH STIGLITZ ON THE RICH AND POOR on Monday, December 9 at 7:00 p.m. at Joe's Pub. This one-night-only event will feature a talk by Nobel Prize-winning economist Joseph Stiglitz on income inequality and what the artistic community can do about it, followed by a conversation featuring Darryl McDaniels of Run-DMC, Artistic Director Oskar Eustis, and Public Works Director Lear deBessonet.

Elyse Walker hosted her ninth annual Pink Party and fashion show at Santa Monica Airport Friday night with help from Anne Hathaway. “When they told me that Annie would like to help with the event this year, I said, 'Sure, who's Annie?'” said Walker. It seems that Hathaway's good friend was treated at the Women's Cancer Center at Cedars Sinai, for which the event raised $1.7 million. “Elyse is a tireless champion,” said Hathaway. “She's…what's the Yiddish word for a female mensch?” she asked her husband Adam Shulman. “She's a mensch-ette.”

CAP21 Kicks Off Residency at Molloy College

Collaborative Arts Project 21, America's Musical Theatre Conservatory and Theatre Company (CAP21) and Molloy College have established a one-of-a-kind partnership. CAP21 is in residency at Molloy College, and to inaugurate the residency, both institutions are developing a four year BFA Theatre Arts Degree Program that will combine CAP21's 20 years of experience in training musical theatre actors and Molloy College's renowned academic programming.

BYOU Magazine has made Karlee their 'Girl Making A Difference' feature for the Oct/Nov issue and, as such, the Girlscouts will highlight her anti-bullying efforts at Girltopia 2013 on November 9, held at the LA Convention Center. The audience of young teens and tweens is expected to reach 15,000+. Karlee will perform a 15-20 minute set that will include her viral hit 'Call Me Whatever' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IEFaB-eYpB8), written by Karlee and directed by her older sister, Marlee Roberts.
