Juilliard Dance, under the direction of Lawrence Rhodes, opens its 2013-2014 season with New Dances PLUS: Edition 2013, Wednesday, December 11 through Sunday, December 15, 2013 in Juilliard's Peter Jay Sharp Theater and features Juilliard alumna Pina Bausch's Wind von West (Wind from the West) performed by the Senior Class, plus three world premiere commissions created for each of the classes of Juilliard's Dance Division. Next season's innovative choreographers are Juilliard alumnus Takehiro Ueyama (1st Year Dancers); Brian Brooks (2nd Year Dancers); and Juilliard alumnus Darrell Grand Moultrie (3rdYear Dancers).

Swiss Family Robinson is being staged at The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center, 480 West 42nd Street (bet. 9th & 10th Avenues) in NYC for five performances fromTuesday, July 9 through Wednesday, July 17, 2013. One of America's most versatile, popular and highly acclaimed choreographers, Lar Lubovitch leads the Lar Lubovitch Dance Company in New York City, which he founded 44 years ago. Lubovitch's dances are renowned for their musicality, rhapsodic style and sophisticated formal structures.

New York Live Arts announces the 2013 Theater Access Program - a comprehensive rental program that provides performance space and resources to a diverse group of self-producing artists of all disciplines. This event is designed to pique your interest in the preservation, use and future adaptability of Modern Dance Repertory. We will be presenting scenes from a movie in the making, "Living the Legacy of Modern Dance," historical and current repertory and a panel discussion on the current and future state of Modern Dance.

The Film Society of Lincoln Center and Dance Films Association include in their 41st edition of Dance on Camera 'PASSING THE TORCH: The Legacy of Jose Limon and Anna Sokolow' today, February 1, 1:30 to 3 PM at the Francesca Beale Theater, 144 West 65th Street.

Due to Hurricane Sandy, the last day of performances for Henning Rübsam's SENSEDANCE were canceled. The new re-scheduled performances are this coming Sunday, January 20th, at 3:00 pm and 8:00 pm at Salvatore Capezio Theater at Peridance, 126 East 13th Street, NYC.. The company will present two premieres celebrating Henning's 21st year as founding artistic director of his ensemble. The premieres will include, 'obsession | calm' and 'Brahms Dances'. Also on the program will be a reprise of 'Petit Pas' as a tribute to the late Neil Armstrong, whose voice is featured in the work; and 'HALF-LIFE 102'. The Dancers for the season are: Cynthia Dragoni, Erin Ginn, Temple Kemezis, Maria Phegan, Jacqueline Stewart, Uthman Ebrahim, Oisín Monaghan, Juan Rodriguez, Matt Van, and Henning Rübsam.

The Film Society of Lincoln Center and Dance Films Association today announced the lineup for the 41st edition of Dance on Camera. Taking place February 1-5, the dance-centric film festival returns to the Film Society for the 17th consecutive year with an exciting and diverse array of dance films, including several premieres.
