Titan Theatre Company Receives Grant from Queens Arts Fund, New York City Department Of Cultural Affairs

Currently in the midst of its critically acclaimed second full season, fast-rising Titan Theatre Company has just been named a 2014 recipient of the Queen Arts Fund Grant, under the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs. The announcement was made on Wednesday January 29, 2014. The grant has been designated towards organizational support for Titan Theatre's upcoming production of King Lear starring Broadway veteran Terry Layman (Broadway's Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Twelve Angry Men) in the title role. The production will April 25 - May 11 at the Queens Theatre. Long Island City-based Titan Theatre Company opened it's second show of their critically acclaimed 2013-14 season on Wednesday January 22nd with the World Premiere of the highly anticipated second installment of Angela Iannone's "Edwin Booth Trilogy" THIS PRISON WHERE I LIVE. THIS PRISON WHERE I LIVE transports audiences to Edwin Booth's 1879 run of William Shakespeare's Richard II at the McVicker Theatre in Chicago. Stirring drama unfolds as the ghost of Booth's infamous brother, assassin John Wilkes Booth, pays a visit to Edwin at the McVicker. The show has a LIMITED ENGAGEMENT at The Secret Theatre in Long Island City through January 26, 2014. BroadwayWorld has photos from the opening night festivities below!

Reese Madigan to Star in Titan Theatre's THIS PRISON WHERE I LIVE at Secret Theatre, 1/22-26

Following its critically acclaimed smash hit take on William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, Long Island City-based Titan Theatre Company announced today casting and the creative team for the next production in its highly anticipated second season, the world premiere of Angela Iannone's This Prison Where I Live. The production will have an extremely limited week long engagement at The Secret Theatre in Long Island City, January 22-26, 2014.

In Tandem Theatre Announces Holiday Shows

In Tandem Theatre will present two hysterical holiday shows this season: the wildly popular musical comedy, A Cudahy Caroler Christmas by Anthony Wood, (November 29, 2013 - January 5, 2014) and the delightfully dark holiday comedy, The Eight: Reindeer Monologues by Jeff Goode, (two special performances only Mondays, December 9 and 16, 2013). Both shows will be presented at the Tenth Street Theatre, 628 N. 10th Street, Milwaukee.

Milwaukee Rep Announces A CHRISTMAS CAROL, 11/29-12/24

Now in its 37th year, The Rep's production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, sponsored by MillerCoors, is Milwaukee's beloved holiday tradition which has delighted audiences for generations at The Pabst Theater. Adapted by Joseph Hanreddy and Edward Morgan, Dickens' classic masterpiece brightens the holiday season with its beautiful carols and timeless message of hope, peace and love and the true meaning of the holidays. Milwaukee Repertory Theater is delighted to announce that Aaron Posner returns to The Rep to direct A Christmas Carol. Posner directed The Rep's To Kill a Mockingbird, which broke all-time attendance records last season, as well as the lyrical, beautifully-realized production of My Name is Asher Lev in 2010. This will be the first time that Posner has directed A Christmas Carol. This year's cast includes Milwaukee actors Marti Gobel and Jonathan Wainwright; Rep newcomers Melody Betts, Renata Friedman, Melisa Pereyra, Luigi Sottile and accomplished stage actor Christopher Donahue as Ebenezer Scrooge. Returning to The Rep this year are former Rep Artistic Intern Ensemble members Alexander Pawlowski and Emily Trask and frequent Rep guest artist Jonathan Smoots. Also rounding out the cast are Rep Associate Artists Angela Iannone and Gerard Neugent and Chicago actor Erik Hellman. A Christmas Carol runs at The Pabst Theater from November 29 - December 24.

Milwaukee Repertory Theater Hosts First Associate Artists Gathering

The first gathering of Milwaukee Repertory Theater's Associate Artists happened on Friday, September 28, 2012 at The Rep's Administrative Offices. 18 of the 19 Artistic Associates either attended in person or attended via teleconference. The gathering was to discuss the future of The Rep as well as the responsibilities of this newly-formed group of theater professionals.

Milwaukee Repertory Theater Announces New Associate Artists

Milwaukee Repertory Theater announced today that it will grow its Artistic Family to 19 Associate Artists. This new creative initiative will 'build upon the indelible legacy of The Rep's Acting Company, expanding to include directors, writers, designers and musicians and actors, all of whom will be called Milwaukee Repertory Theater Associate Artists.'
