Artistic Directors Bick Goss and Frank Evans and Board President Stephen Hanks announce the first presentation of their series of new musicals for 2012-2013: NEUROSIS: THE MUSICAL, with Book by Allan Rice ('New Adventures of Old Christine,' CBS), Music by Ben Green, Lyrics by Greg Edwards ('White House Christmas' music by Marvin Hamlisch.) Director is Andy Sandberg (LAST SMOKER IN AMERICA; on Broadway and London's West End as a producer of HAIR (2009 Tony, Drama Desk, Drama League, Outer Critics Circle Awards) and the recent revival of Gore Vidal's THE BEST MAN (2012 Tony Award Nomination).

Musical Mondays Theatre Lab announces a concert of new songs from their upcoming seasons as well as songs from the soon to be released Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlght CD with live performances of brand new theatre songs from the Tony Award-winning Musical Theatre Workshop. The concert event has no admission charge and reservations are not being taken. 4 show Musical Mondays subscribers will receive a complimentary demo sampler copy of the CD. The concert will take place at the Jerry Orbach Theater in the Snapple Theater Center, 210 West 50th at 6:30 PM tonight, Oct 11.

The American Theatre Wing today announced that applications are now being accepted for the 2013 Jonathan Larson Grants. The grants, given annually to honor emerging composers, lyricists and book writers, help to continue Tony Award-winning composer Jonathan Larson's dream of infusing musical theatre with a contemporary, joyful, urban vitality.

On Monday, June 25, the Broadway at Birdland concert series was presented songwriter Jack Lechner and a very talented cast of singers to the historic stage. Singing Lechner's songs and praises were Nancy Anderson, Chris Critelli, Desmond Dutcher, Jeannine Frumess, Andy Monroe, Jeremy Schonfeld, Lucas Steele, and Karen Ziemba, with musical direction by Boko Suzuki. Lechner is best known for his 2010 off-Broadway musical The Kid, co-written with composer Andy Monroe and librettist Michael Zam.

Guest performers will include Jill Abramovitz, Desmond Dutcher, Jeannine Frumess, Jose Llana, Lucas Steele, and Karen Ziemba. The music director will be Boko Suzuki.

The event will be held in the 30th Floor Media Room of BMI's New York office at 7 World Trade Center/250 Greenwich Street tonight, April 26, at 5:30PM and is open to members of the entertainment industry as well as Workshop members.
