"Law & Order" star Jesse L. Martin - one of the original members of the Tony-winning "Rent" Broadway cast - will recur over an arc of six episodes in NBC's SMASH and will sing in some episodes when the musical drama series returns at mid-season.

Yellow Sound Label presents the joint album release concert of Chris Miller & Nathan Tysen's Fugitive Songs and Joshua Salzman & Ryan Cunningham's Next Thing You Know at Le Poisson Rouge, tonight, September 9th. The concert will feature some of Broadway's best young talent including Lauren Blackman, Andrew Durand, Christopher Jackson, Adam Kantor, Andrew Kober, Kyle Dean Massey, Andy Mientus, Karen Olivo, Kate Rockwell, Alysha Umphress and Barrett Wilbert Weed.

According to the New York Post, SMASH's Megan Hilty will perform 'America the Beautiful' before the US Open women's championship between Serena Williams and Victoria Azarenka tonight, September 8, at Arthur Ashe Stadium. Chris Botti is set to sing the same tune tomorrow, September 9 before the men's final.

Emmy Award-winning actor Sean Hayes (NBC's "Will & Grace") will guest star in a multi-episode arc on NBC's SMASH as Terrence Falls, a comedic television and film star who is making his Broadway debut in the musical "Liaisons," based on the novel "Les Liaisons Dangereuses." Due to a series of comic circumstances, he becomes a major thorn in the side for Ivy Lynn (Megan Hilty) and other characters. For the first time ever, the musical Carrie has been preserved in a cast recording of the recent MCC Theater Off-Broadway revival. The cast of the revival - including headliners Marin Mazzie and Molly Ranson - will appear at Barnes & Noble (Upper East Side, 86th/Lex) on September 25 to sign copies of the album and perform selections from the show.
