A Christmas Story, The Musical arrives on Broadway at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre just in time for the 2012 holiday season. Based on the 1983 movie perennial, the musical plays and eight-week limited engagement through December 30. The show opened on November 19th and BroadwayWorld.com was there! "Smash" returns to the NBC lineup for a second season on Tuesday, February 5. Below, check out the just-released, extended first look at Season 2, featuring Jennifer Hudson as 'Veronica', Karen (Katharine McPhee)'s new love interest, played by Newsies' Jeremy Jordan, tensions growing between songwriting collaborators Julia (Debra Messing) and Tom (Christian Borle), glimpses of guest stars Sean Hayes and Bernadette Peters and much more!

Hudson, will make an appearance on NBC's 'The Voice' tonight, where she'll debut a special sneak peek of season 2. Tune in at 8pm to catch the first look!

Minnelli joins other notable guest stars that have been announced for the show's next season, including Jennifer Hudson, Jesse L. Martin and Sean Hayes. Entertainment superstar Liza Minnelli - winner of an Oscar, two Golden Globes, a Grammy, an Emmy and multiple Tony Awards - will guest-star as herself in NBC's musical drama SMASH in the upcoming season, and will sing an original song with series star Christian Borle that was written by the show's celebrated composer and lyricists Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman.

According to Newsday, Tony Award nominee and Broadway star Brian d'Arcy James, who is currently starring in the world premiere of the musical Giant at The Public Theater through December 2, will return to NBC's 'Smash' in the premiere episode of season 2 as Debra Messing's husband 'Frank Houston'.

NBC today announced changes to its 2013 primetime mid-season schedule highlighted by the premieres of three new series, including comedy '1600 Penn,' from one of the architects of 'Modern Family'; an intriguing drama 'Deception' (formerly 'Infamous'); and producer Eva Longoria's big reality relationship show 'Ready for Love.' The Broadway favorite will begin filming soon in New York City.

Falling, the new play by Deanna Jent, opened last night, Monday, October 15th and began previews for an open-ended run on Thursday, September 27th at the Minetta Lane Theatre (18 Minetta Lane, one block south of West 3rd Street, just off Sixth Avenue). As previously announced, Sean Hayes will be on Smash season 2 for a few episodes. He has already finished filming, but throughout the process, he tweeted lots of pictures of himself as the actor Terrence Falls in Smash's other musical (besides the Marilyn Monroe show BOMBSHELL) called LIASONS.

Ahead of his debut as a composer on NBC's Smash, Drew Gasparini heads into the studio for the first time to record 17 songs with Broadway's brightest talents.
