It was announced today that Northern Stage will showcase four North East companies in their first ever VAULT Festival Takeover next year. The Newcastle based theatre has chosen four companies representing a diverse range of up and coming talent from the region to showcase at London's biggest, boldest and wildest arts and entertainment festival.
VAULT Festival, one of the largest curated arts festivals in the world, has launched tickets for its first round of shows for their 2020 incarnation. Every Tuesday more productions will be revealed until the full programme is released on Tuesday 3rd December. VAULT Festival will return for its eighth year with eight weeks of the best new theatre and comedy, immersive experiences, cabaret, live performance and late-night parties. Born and based in the UK, producer, remixer and DJ Louis La Roche has released his latest single, 'Better (feat. Lucy Pearson)' via his own imprint Ever After Records on 25th October. The track has just premiered on Magnetic Magazine. La Roche has previously provided official remixes for artists such as Basement Jaxx, Aeroplane, Lemaitre, Fred Falke and NICOLAAS and received support from tastemaker Youtube channels Spinnin Records, Mr Suicide Sheep, Majestic Casual, and Mr Deep Sense and publications such as Mixmag, DJ Mag, Your EDM, Magnetic Mag and Data Transmission. The British talent has received over 40 Million Youtube views, with his remix for Crystal Bats receiving over 1.8 Million views alone, and over 23 Million plays on Spotify. Louis La Roche has also supported Kylie Minogue on her Kiss Me Once tour.
In its most successful year to date, VAULT Festival has brought together more than 79,000 people in 2019 with over 2,000 artists performing across the eight weeks in seventeen venues throughout Waterloo. There were 3,137 different performances of 428 different shows with an almost 15% reduction in cost bringing the average ticket price down to £11.59.
The Pleasance Theatre Trust have announced a new partnership with VAULT Festival that will strengthen links between both organisations; working together, both Pleasance and VAULT are dedicated to developing and supporting the careers of new and emerging theatre makers, playwrights and comedians.

Production images are today released for The Vaults' highly anticipated immersive show, Sounds and Sorcery celebrating Disney FANTASIA ahead of its opening night this evening. In their latest production inspired by the ground-breaking 1940 Disney animation, The Vaults presents a reimagining of the many worlds of Fantasia featuring a Grecian Disco Palace, pre-historic volcanic wasteland, mirrored waterfall, human fishtank, and mystical forest among the sights. The production runs at the Vaults beneath Waterloo until 30 September.
The Vaults today announces its new experience Sounds and Sorcery celebrating Disney Fantasia, a brand new immersive experience which will open this summer, in the year Mickey Mouse celebrates his 90th anniversary. Inspired by the classic 1940 Disney film, a series of unique installations will bring some of the world's most iconic classical music to life in a multi-sensory experience. The production will open 3 July, with opening night for press on 11 July.
The annual underground festival of theatre, music, art and comedy concluded this weekend with record-breaking attendance and more than seventy thousand tickets sold to over 350 individual shows. THE NEAL MORSE BAND-singer/guitarist/keyboardist Neal Morse, drummer Mike Portnoy, bassist Randy George, keyboardist Bill Hubauer and guitarist Eric Gillette-who released their double-disc concept album, THE SIMILITUDE OF A DREAM, November 11, 2016 on Radiant Records via Metal Blade Records/SONY.
