Westchester Broadway Theatre presents Irving Berlin's WHITE CHRISTMAS, based upon the Paramount Pictures Film, with Music and Lyrics by Irving Berlin and Book by David Ives & Paul Blake. Directed and choreographed by Randy Skinner with musical direction by Andrew Smithson, the show will run November 7, 2013 - January 12, 2014. Art Institute of Chicago Opens New Exhibit ART AND APPETITE, 11/12

This season, the Art Institute of Chicago invites visitors to feast their eyes on the rich tradition of food in American art with the opening of the major exhibition Art? and Appetite: American Painting, Culture, and Cuisine.Exploring the many meanings and interpretations of eating in America, Art and Appetite--on view from November 12, 2013 through January 27, 2014 in the museum's Regenstein Hall --brings together 100 paintings, sculptures, and decorative arts from the 18th through the 20th century to demonstrate how depictions of food have allowed American artists to both celebrate and critique everything from the national diet to society and politics. Following its premiere at the Art Institute, Art ?and Appetite: American Painting, Culture, and Cuisine will travel to the Amon Carter Museum of American Art in Fort Worth, Texas (February 22-May 18, 2014).

To celebrate the release of his first EP of original music, Gotta Get to You, Andrew Smith will present a release concert at Riverside Theatre Works in Hyde Park, Friday and Saturday evenings, tonight and tomorrow, October 25 and 26 at 8:00 p.m. The evening will be filled with popular jazz songs, standards, songs from his EP and much more. Pulling from major influences such as Billy Joel and Stevie Wonder, Andrew and his nine-piece are sure to provide an extraordinary evening of music.

The opening night party guests included five-time Tony Award nominee and Drama Desk Award winner Jan Maxwell, Kristine Nielsen (Broadway: Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson), Jennifer Van Dyck (Broadway: Hedda Gabler, Dancing at Lughnasa and Two Shakespearean Actors), Quentin Mare (Broadway: Rock 'n' Roll, Coram Boy, Julius Caesar) and Stephanie Janssen (Broadway: Mrs. Warren's Profession).
