Vertebrae, a new play by Lila Feinberg, will receive a three-performance staged workshop at New York Theatre Workshop's East 4th St Theatre from April 26-28.

The acclaimed new American play PETER AND THE STARCATCHER, by Tony Award nominee Rick Elice, directed by Tony Award-winner Roger Rees and Drama Desk Award-winner and Tony Award nominee Alex Timbers (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson), began preview performances on Broadway at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on March 28 in anticipation of an April 15 opening. Rachel York will join Megan Hilty in the Encores! production of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, opening May 9 at New York City Center. York will play the brunette, Dorothy Shaw, best friend of Lorelei, the diamond-loving blonde played by Hilty. Gentlemen Prefer Blondes will be directed by John Rando with music direction by Rob Berman and choreography by Randy Skinner and will play for seven performances, May 9 - 13, at New York City Center, 55th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues.

Yanni, music's true world citizen and most popular contemporary composer, will bring his 2012 North American Concert Tour to the Tennessee Performing Art Center's Andrew Jackson Hall on Saturday, May 12th at 8:00 p.m.

Ars Nova today announced Spring Into The Nova, a benefit to support emerging artists. The concert features the music of composers Tom Kitt (Pulitzer Prize-winner, Next to Normal), Dave Malloy (Obie Award-winner, Three Pianos), and The Spring Standards (SXSW 2012), as well as Ars Nova?s 2012 Composer-in-Residence Shaina Taub.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Patrick Willingham) presents Ethan Lipton's NO PLACE TO GO for a limited engagement at Joe's Pub, closing tonight April 8th. Directed by Leigh Silverman and written by Ethan Lipton with music composed by Ethan Lipton and His Orchestra, NO PLACE TO GO is the first Joe's Pub commission, as part of its New York Voices Series, to become part of The Public Theater's season.

Tennessee Performing Arts Center has announced the six Broadway titles visiting for its 2012-13 HCA/TriStar Broadway Series, plus two Broadway specials. In a presentation to season ticket holders, special guests, and press on Tuesday, President and CEO Kathleen O'Brien unveiled the new season, which will conclude in 2013 with a four-week run of the Tony Award®-winning hit Disney's The Lion King. The season includes beloved classics like Cole Porter's Anything Goes and Irving Berlin's White Christmas, the acrobatic off-Broadway smash Traces, plus new favorites Flashdance and Catch Me If You Can.

Casting has been confirmed for Little Radical Theatrics' latest offering, the New York Regional Premiere of BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON, which is slated to play a limited engagement (May 25-June 2, 2012) at the Westchester Sandbox Theatre in Mamaroneck. Before the audience members began to take their seats for the Off-Broadway premiere of Once this past December, members of the press were already sent an email announcing that the production would be moving to Broadway following its limited run at the New York Theatre Workshop.  Thus, the fact that the critical response to the show supported such a move seemed superfluous.

Know Theatre of Cincinnati launched Cincinnati's first ever crowd-sourced production sponsorship opportunity. For the ArtsWest 2012-2013 season, Artistic Director Christopher Zinovitch has announced a selection of plays, beginning in September with a fast-paced irreverent rock musical about the country we live in - a Broadway blockbuster, that received Tony Award© nominations, an Outer Critics Circle Award, and two Drama Desk nominations. The holiday season will include a mix of rockin' holiday hits in a fond salute to 1960's girl groups. Audiences will then travel from Liverpool to Greece with a middle-aged, working class housewife in a classic comic masterpiece. The season's fourth play, another recent Broadway blockbuster, exposes the fundamental truths that result when opposing views of family and friends collide. The season will close with a genius at work as Beethoven and a musicologist examine the creative process against a background of passion and parenthood.

Theater For The New City have announced an encore engagement of The Hive's critically-acclaimed gender-bender production of William Shakespeare's A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S (QUEER) DREAM, directed by Matthew A.J. Gregory. A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S (QUEER) DREAM will play a limited engagement at the Johnson Theatre-Theatre for the New City (155 First Avenue, btw. 9th/10th) from Wednesday, April 25 through Saturday, May 19. Opening Night is Friday, April 27 (8 p.m.).
