Tickets are now on sale for the brand new production of THE SOUND OF MUSIC, directed by three-time Tony Award winner Jack O'Brien.

Nashville Ballet returns this year - for the eighth consecutive year - with one of Music City's most beloved holiday traditions: Paul Vasterling's Nashville's Nutcracker, running December 5-23  at TPAC's Andrew Jackson Hall. Due to popular demand, this year's production will feature a record-setting number of performances, giving audiences a grand total of 13 performances from which to choose.

Mr. Burns, a post-electric play asks us to imagine what will happen to humanity after the apocalypse. This imaginative dark comedy follows a new civilization of survivors as they band together to build a community from the rubble of the world we now know. MR. BURNS, A POST-ELECTRIC PLAY by Anne Washburn, featuring a score by Michael Friedman with lyrics by Anne Washburn, will be directed by Theodore Swetz and co-produced with UMKC Theatre at Unicorn Theatre this December.

After selling out the initial engagement in just three hours, New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) has announced an additional three weeks of performances of LAZARUS by David Bowie and Enda Walsh (Once, Tony Award), inspired by the novel The Man Who Fell to Earth by Walter Tevis, and directed by Ivo van Hove (Hedda Gabler, More Stately Mansions, Obie Awards).

Keven Myhre, a Salt Lake City theatrical designer and director, has been chosen to receive the 2016 Thomas DeGaetani Award from USITT. Myhre will be honored at USITT 2016 in Salt Lake City next March.

Arlene Shuler, New York City Center President & CEO, today announced that City Center will partner with The Jerome L. Greene Performance Space at WNYC to expand the reach of the Tony-honored Encores! series with a new live-streamed series of conversations and performances about the glorious, complicated legacy of the Broadway musical. City Center Encores! Unscripted at The Greene Space at WNYC will go beyond the "talkback"-and beyond nostalgia-for a smart, unsentimental look at how musicals have reflected and shaped American life.

DOLLS: A MUSICAL SURVEY OF SEX AND SEXISM, featuring the songs of Cole Porter, Frank Loesser, Rodgers & Hammerstein and many more, tonight, November 16, as part of the Broadway Close Up series.

The cast album for the new Off-Broadway musical DADDY LONG LEGS, with music and lyrics by Tony Award nominee Paul Gordon (Sense and Sensibility) and a book by Tony Award and Olivier Award winner John Caird (Les Miserables), is available today in the U.S. via digital release from Ghostlight Records.
