Created by the same team that brought you the theatrical smash hit Smoke and Mirrors, the weekly variety show MAGIC MONDAY began last summer at the Santa Monica playhouse and is back due to overwhelming audience response.

Just days after calling on the controversial Miami Seaquarium to free the marine park's lone orca, Lolita, big-hearted Tony Award winner Alan Cumming was recognized with PETA's Humanitarian Award during a special Valentine's Day bash in Fort Lauderdale on Sunday. The Adrienne Arsht Center Wins Eight Hermes Creative Awards

The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County has been recognized by Hermes Creative Awards with eight awards in the 2016 international competition. The Center received three platinum and two gold awards as well as three honorable mentions for its communication and design strategies in various campaigns, including Lookingglass Alice, Vibrant @10, AileyCamp Miami and season brochures.

The American Shakespeare Center's Spring Season production of ARMS AND THE MAN by George Bernard Shaw opened Friday, April 29, and runs through June 11 at the Blackfriars Playhouse, in Staunton, VA. Kaliyuga Arts, resident theatre company of Catskill's new Bridge Street Theatre, having established a reputation for presenting innovative, cutting edge material in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York City, and now in the Hudson Valley, presents what promises to be their wildest evening ever: A surreal performance art double-bill called OUT OF THIS WORLD. The evening will open with UP FROM THE GROUND by Dan Carbone followed by SIGN FELT! (a show about nothingness) by Alexandra Tatarsky. Rattlestick Playwrights Theater and Women's Project Theater present the world premiere of The Undeniable Sound of Right Now, written by Laura Eason (S e x with Strangers,'House of Cards') and directed by Kirsten Kelly (Slipping), beginning tonight, March 19 at 7pm at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, 224 Waverly Place, west of Seventh Avenue South. Opening night is set for Thursday, April 2 at 7pm. The production is set to run through Saturday, May 2.

Promotional material tells us that at the The Naked Magicians 'Magic + Strip Poker = The Naked Magicians.' But, unlike the show with the same title that has played elsewhere in the world, the cast does wear clothing most of the time (thus avoiding, one imagines, some awkward moments).
