Tribe members from the National Tour of the 2009 TONY Award winning Best Musical HAIR, will stage a 'Be-In' during their stop in Los Angeles. Following two hugely successful be-in performances in D.C and Seattle this night of music will feature cast members singing their favorite tunes while raising funds to benefit the non-profit Broadway Impact founded by former tribe member Gavin Creel. Special guest performances by Original Broadway HAIR Cast members, Bryce Ryness and Lauren Elder.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson), Jeffrey Richards and Jerry Frankel announced today that the Broadway production of Daniel Sullivan's critically acclaimed production of THE MERCHANT OF VENICE has recouped its capitalization of $3.45 million after only 10 weeks. The critically lauded Public Theater production that began at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park this past summer prior to moving to Broadway was one of the most well reviewed shows of the fall season and was a 'Top Ten Pick' by Ben Brantley of The New York Times who called it 'the most savory slice of Shakespeare served on Broadway in years, thanks in no small part to its magnificent stars: Al Pacino as Shylock and Lily Rabe as Portia.'

Hamingson), Jeffrey Richards and Jerry Frankel announced a final extension today of Daniel Sullivan's critically acclaimed production of THE MERCHANT OF VENICE, starring Al Pacino as Shylock and Lily Rabe as Portia. THE MOTHERF**KER WITH THE HAT by Stephen Adly Guirgis will make its world premiere on Broadway starring Bobby Cannavale, Chris Rock, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Annabella Sciorra and Yul Vázquez. Directed by Anna D. Shapiro, the production will open on Monday, April 11, 2011 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street, New York City).
Today, a spokesperson for the production has announced that The strictly limited 14-week engagement will begin previews on March 15, 2010 one week earlier than originally announced date of March 22. Opening night remains scheduled for April 11, 2010.
