Chautauqua Theater Company Presents Dominique Morisseau's DETROIT '67

Broadnax III. Detroit '67 will run July 21- 30th at Bratton Theater at the Chautauqua Institution. Tickets are $35 and are currently on sale.

Chautauqua Theater Company (CTC), under the new direction of Andrew Borba, Artistic Director, and the continued leadership of Managing Director Sarah Clare Corporandy, is proud to announce mainstage programming for the 2017 summer season featuring Michael Frayn's Noises Off, directed by Andrew Borba and running June 30 - July 16; Detroit '67 by Dominique Morisseau running July 21 - 30 and directed by Steve H. Broadnax III ('The Hip Hop Project'; 'American Taboo'); Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet running August 11 - 18 and directed by Dawn Monique Williams ('Merry Wives of Windsor' at Oregon Shakespeare Festival); and three Signature Staged Readings of new work.

Yale Rep Concludes 50th Anniversary Season with World Premiere of MARY JANE

Yale Repertory Theatre (James Bundy, Artistic Director; Victoria Nolan, Managing Director) concludes its 50th Anniversary Season with the world premiere of MARY JANE by Amy Herzog, directed by Anne Kauffman, April 28 through May 20 at Yale Repertory Theatre (1120 Chapel Street). Opening Night is Friday, May 5.

Chautauqua Theatre Company Wraps Up 33rd Season with TAMING OF THE SHREW

Chautauqua Theater Company (CTC), under the co-leadership of Artistic Directors Andrew Borba and Vivienne Benesch, brings its 33rd season to a close with William Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew directed by Andrew Borba and featuring the outstanding talents of its entire 2016 Conservatory company onstage and off to produce this comedy masterpiece. The Taming of the Shrew plays August 12 - 19 on the Bratton Theater stage at the Chautauqua Institution. Opening night is Saturday, August 13 at 6pm. Tickets are $35 and are currently on sale.

Chautauqua Theater to Present THE GLOW OVERHEAD as Final 2016 Signature Staged Reading

Chautauqua Theater Company (CTC) continues its significant commitment to new play development under the co-leadership of Artistic Directors Vivienne Benesch and Andrew Borba with Signature Staged Readings of The Glow Overhead written by Nick Gandiello, and directed by Sherri Eden Barber, running August 3 - 5 as part of the 2016 season's New Play Workshop. The Glow Overhead plays on the Bratton Theater stage at the Chautauqua Institution.

New Play TINY HOUSES Starts Tomorrow at Chautauqua Theater Company

Chautauqua Theater Company (CTC) continues its significant commitment to new play development under the co-leadership of Artistic Directors Vivienne Benesch and Andrew Borba with Signature Staged Readings of TINY HOUSES by Chelsea Marcantel, and directed by Joshua Kahan Brody, running tomorrow, July 14, through July 16 as part of the 2016 season's New Play Workshop.

The season will feature Sarah Ruhl's In the Next Room (or the vibrator play), directed by Lucie Tiberghien (July 1-10); The Profane, a commissioned play by Zayd Dohrn (July 22-31), directed by Vivienne Benesch; and Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew (August 12-19), directed by Andrew Borba.
