The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) has announced the full lineup of productions, concerts, readings and special events for its 11th annual festival. This year's Festival will begin July 7th and continue through July 27th.

On Her Shoulders will present a FREE staged reading of three short plays by women of The Provincetown Players on Wednesday, May 21: The Widow's View by Alice Rostetter (1919), The Rescue by Rita Creighton Smith (1918) and Aria da Capo by Edna St. Vincent Millay (1919.) Elysa Marden directs; Shana Komitee is dramaturg. Doors open at 6:30pm. The Play in Context, which situates the script in its historical time and place, kicks off the evening at 6:45pm. The Dramatists Guild's Fellows Program will host their Annual Presentation at Playwrights Horizons in New York on October 7, 2013. The Fellows Program will present excerpts from new works written by the fourteen talented playwrights, composers and lyricists who were the 2012-2013 Dramatists Guild Fellows.

This July at the Flea Theater, America-In-Play will present the premiere of Exodus Code: Advice for Wanderers, a new theater production inspired by Yiddish vaudeville and the history of the Lower East Side. Running from July 12-July 28 and featuring direction from Lynn M. Thomson, the production will honor this long-neglected and entertaining cultural art form, linking the past to the present and bringing together an array of immigrant stories to evoke an archetypal immigrant experience. The show was first read at and developed with the assistance of the Lower East Side Tenement Museumwhere America-In-Play had a four-year partnership.

At Hand Theatre Company (Letters to the End of The World, Broadway Recycled) presents the World Premiere of Joshua Conkel's I WANNA DESTROY YOU, a romantic comedy that tears the trope of the gay sidekick to shreds. Produced by Matthew DiCarlo and Justin Scribner and directed by Dan Horrigan (As Wide As I Can See), previews begin May 17 at the Beckett Theatre at Theatre Row. Opening is slated for May 22.

The Dramatists Guild Fund (DGF) announces that it will begin expanding its Dramatists Guild Fellows Program through collaboration with developmental theater organizations. Each resident theater program will select one playwright or writing team to join their workshop season.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) has announced the full slate of 34 musical productions and special events for its ninth annual festival. This year's Festival will begin July 9th and continue through July 29th. An additional slate of free events, including 12 staged readings and several educational panel discussions, will be announced shortly.

AT HAND THEATRE COMPANY's 3rd annual Earth Day concert, BROADWAY RECYCLED, will take place on Sunday, April 22nd at 7pm at Joe's Pub. The concert of songs cut from musicals - songs that shouldn't go to waste - benefits the Broadway Green Alliance and At Hand Theatre Company. The concert will be directed by Jennifer Ashley Tepper with musical direction by Julie McBride.
