After 16 years away, Tony and Grammy Award winner Heather Headley returned triumphantly to Broadway last summer in The Color Purple. Having originated the role of Nala in The Lion King and awarded a Tony for Aida, the Trinidadian-American performer was rapidly rising to diva status when she shifted gears. In her time away from the theater, she released two gold records, topped the dance and R&B charts, won a Grammy for her gospel album, Audience of One, toured the world with Andrea Bocelli, and started a family. She blazed back in The Bodyguard in London before returning to Broadway.

From PBS and Sold Out Shows around the world, Child Prodigy Ethan Bortnick Performs at The Ridgefield Playhouse on 4/8

From singing and playing the piano to songwriting and starring in television specials and feature films, 16-year-old child prodigy Ethan Bortnick does it all - with incredible talent, a captivating personality and a passion for bringing people joy.  He'll share those amazing gifts at The Ridgefield Playhouse when he performs on Saturday, April 8th at 8 p.m.  This Ridgefield Magazine Broadway and Cabaret Series performance, partially underwritten by Adam Broderick Salon and Spa and Benchmark Senior Living at Ridgefield Crossings, will be packed with energy, excitement and family-friendly entertainment. 

Official: Rachelle Ann Go, Christine Allado, Rachel John and More Set for West End HAMILTON

Cameron Mackintosh and Jeffrey Seller are thrilled and delighted to announce the initial casting for their West End production of HAMILTON. Christine Allado (Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds), Rachelle Ann Go (Eliza Hamilton), Tarinn Callender (Hercules Mulligan/James Madison), Rachel John (Angelica Schuyler), Jason Pennycooke (Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson), Cleve September (John Laurens/Philip Hamilton), Giles Terera (Aaron Burr) and Obioma Ugoala (George Washington) will open the London production later this year, with further casting to be announced at a later date.

The Dessoff Choirs Performs All-French Program 2/26

Hailed as "one of the great amateur choruses of our time (New York Today) for its "full-bodied sound and suppleness (The New York Times)," The Dessoff Choirs turns the church into a petit Paris with an all-French program that puts the spotlight on the brilliant French Impressionists of music: Marcel Dupre, Claude Debussy, Lili Boulanger, Reynaldo Hahn, Jean Langlais, and Francis Poulenc. Joined by accompanist Steven Ryan (celebrating his 20th anniversary season with Dessoff) and Dr. Raymond Nagem, Associate Organist at the Cathedral of St John the Divine, Dessoff presents a magnifique tribute to French composers and to the majeste of the organ. 

Trumpet Legend Chris Botti to Perform at MPAC Next Month

ONCE, winner of eight 2012 Tony Awards including Best Musical and winner of the 2013 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album, will play at Mayo Performing Arts Center on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at 2 pm and 7:30 pm.
