The annual KLEBAN PRIZE FOR MUSICAL THEATRE presentation took place just yesterday, February 6 at ASCAP.  Some of Broadway's legendary musical theatre creators and young-up-and-comers will come out to honor the two prize winners, perform some of their material, and present their prizes at a food and drink reception hosted by ASCAP and BMI. 

This summer, Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Andre Bishop) will produce PIPELINE, a new play by Dominique Morisseau.  PIPELINE, which will be directed by Lileana Blain-Cruz, will begin performances Thursday, June 15 and open on Monday, July 10 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65 Street).

 Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Andre Bishop) has announced that Lena Hall, Brian Hutchison, David McElwee, Naian Gonzalez Norvind, Omar Metwally, Austin Smith, Marisa Tomei, and Robin Weigert will be featured in the cast of its upcoming production of HOW TO TRANSCEND A HAPPY MARRIAGE, a new play by Sarah Ruhl.  The production, which will be directed by Rebecca Taichman, begins previews Thursday, February 23 and opens on Monday, March 20 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65 Street).

In its ongoing effort to open its doors to the next generation of writers, Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Andre Bishop) has announced the creation of the LCT New Writers in Residence program.

The new Broadway production of William Finn and James Lapine's Tony Award-winning musical Falsettos, featuring Stephanie J. Block, Christian Borle, Andrew Rannells, Anthony Rosenthal, Tracie Thoms, Brandon Uranowitz, and Betsy Wolfe, begins previews Thursday, September 29 and opens Thursday, October 27.

Michael Riedel of the New York Post has reported that Lincoln Center may be courting Academy Award-winner, Colin Firth, for a rumored revival of the timeless classic, 'My Fair Lady.'

The Drama League (Executive Artistic Director, Gabriel Shelian-Shanks) gathers today for the 82nd Annual Drama League Awards Ceremony, hosted by 2016 Tony® Award-nominees, Zachary Levi (She Loves Me) and Megan Hilty (Noises Off), in the Broadway Ballroom at the Marriott Marquis Times Square (1535 Broadway).

Peter Friedman, Keilly McQuail, Naian Gonzalez Norvind,Robbie Collier Sublett, Joyce Van Patten and Mare Winningham are featured in the LCT3/Lincoln Center Theaterworld premiere of HER REQUIEM, by Greg Pierce, directed by Kate Whoriskey. Signature Theatre's Board of Trustees announced today the appointment of Paige Evans as Artistic Director beginning July 1, 2016. She succeeds Founding Artistic Director James Houghton, who will step down at the end of June. Ms. Evans comes to Signature Theatre from Lincoln Center Theater, where she has served as Artistic Director of LCT3 since its inception in 2008. 

   Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Producing Artistic Director Andre Bishop) has announced that McKinley Belcher III, Khris Davis, Montego Glover, John Lavelle, and Clarke Peters will be featured in its upcoming production of THE ROYALE, a new play by Marco Ramirez, directed by Rachel Chavkin, which begins performances Thursday, February 11 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65 Street).   Opening night is Monday, March 7.
