The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage in Santa Monica presents Les Ballets Jazz de Montréal (BJM) performing its original work Leonard Cohen's Dance Me, a dance performance about the famed poet-singer-songwriter that evokes the grand cycles of existence in five seasons, as described in Cohen's deeply reflective work. Dance Me has two performances at The Broad Stage on Friday and Saturday, February 14 and 15 at 7:30pm.

Works & Process, the performing arts series at the Guggenheim, presents Swing Dancing with Caleb Teicher, Chris Celiz, Ben Folds, Conrad Tao and Eyal Vilner Big Band on Monday, December 9 at 6:30pm and 7:30pm.

The Annenberg Center and NextMove Dance announce the 2019-20 dance season at the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Pennsylvania. The special retrospective season will celebrate the tradition of bringing the best in dance to Philadelphia while also looking to the future of the art form. Highlights include companies that have frequently graced the Annenberg Center stage, including MOMIX, Pilobolus, and Les Ballets Jazz de Montreal, and a celebration of the life's work of dance icon Paul Taylor in a tribute to some of his greatest masterpieces.

Jack Ferver's critically acclaimed Everything Is Imaginable returns to New York Live Arts' mainstage as the finale to the 2019 Live Arteryplatform during the annual Association of Performing Arts Professionals conference, January 7, 2019 at 10pm and January 8-12 at 8pm. Presented in collaboration withAmerican Realness, Ferver's radiant and evocative dance-theater piece juxtaposes the lives, virtuosity, and fantasies of its five queer performers.

BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival, now in its 40th season, presents Les Ballet Jazz de Montreal: Leonard Cohen's Dance Me, a sweeping homage to Leonard Cohen's songs. Originally commissioned before Leonard Cohen's death and with his blessing, Dance Me 'is a grandly executed hodgepodge of performance art that pushes the entertainment value of contemporary dance closer to the level of a rock concert or big-budget musical' (Ottawa Citizen). Choreographed by Andonis Foniadakis, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, and Ihsan Rustem, the work debuted in Canada to great acclaim last year and the full piece will have its American premiere in this free performance at the Prospect Park Bandshell (Prospect Park West & 9th Street).

The Martha Graham Dance Company announces the promotion of five Company members for the 2016-17 season. Abdiel Jacobsen and Xin Ying have been promoted to Principal Dancer, and Charlotte Landreau, Lloyd Mayor, and Lorenzo Pagano have been promoted to Soloist. 

The Steppenwolf saga gets a new treatment in the world premiere of Steppenwolf - a musical retelling. Written and composed by 21-year-old Dutch protege Jochem le Cointre (class of 2016), The first ever staged adaptation of Hermann Hesse's classic novel, originally published in Germany in 1928, the show features a 15-piece chamber orchestra; an ensemble of students from The New School's College of Performing Arts; a cast of New York City actors and singers, including several from The New School's Mannes School of Music, School of Drama, and Lang Theater; and dancers from the renowned Martha Graham Dance Company. Choreography is by Tadej Brdnik, the former principal dancer of the Martha Graham Dance Company. Two performances will be staged on May 11 & May 12, 2016 at 7pm at The Auditorium at The New School, 66 West 12th Street, New York, NY 10011.  Tickets are free (first come, first seated) and can be reserved by visiting EventBrite.
