Bay Street Theatre presented its Second Annual Steinbeck Festival in Sag Harbor on May 1-4, 2014, in conjunction with the annual celebration held by the National Steinbeck Center based in Salinas, California. Activities to honor John Steinbeck's contributions to our community featured events including thre days of films, a VIP waterfront cocktail party where guests enjoyed short boat excursions to view Steinbeck's home from the water, and the Second Annual 'Travels with Charley' Dog Walk, in partnership with the Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation. Bay Street's Third Annual Honors Dinner Set for 5/12

Bay Street Theatre has announced Curtain Up!, Bay Street's 3rd Annual Spring Benefit honoring Bonnie Comley and Stewart Lane, and Pia and Jimmy Zankel at Joe's Pub in New York City on May 12. The theater's third honors event will be hosted by Bay Street's new Artistic Director, Scott Schwartz, a leading voice of the next generation of American theater and an internationally acclaimed artist whose work has been seen on and off Broadway, across the United States, in Great Britain, and Asia.

Bay Street Theatre has announced that Scott Schwartz, a leading voice of the next generation of American theater, has joined Bay Street as its new Artistic Director. Bonnie Comley and Stewart F. Lane hosted the welcome party at a private club in New York City to celebrate his arrival and to introduce him to Bay Street Theatre patrons and members of the Broadway community of actors, directors and producers. Scott Schwartz Named New Artistic Director of Bay Street Theatre

Bay Street Theatre is pleased to announce that Scott Schwartz, a leading voice of the next generation of American theater, has joined Bay Street as its new Artistic Director. His tenure at Bay Street will inaugurate a new vision for the theater beginning with the 2014 season, to ensure an exciting and sustainable future for our cultural community. Schwartz is an internationally acclaimed artist whose work has been seen on and off Broadway, across the United States, in Great Britain, and Asia. Over the past twenty years, he has built a reputation for pursuing and embracing a wide range of works for the stage, from new plays to classics to musicals and opera.

Bay Street Theatre's Annual Benefit, This Year Hosted by Joy Behar, Declared a Success

Bay Street Theatre held its Second Annual Honors Benefit on Saturday, April 27 at East Hampton Point, hosted by funny-lady and Bay Street Thatre Board Member Joy Behar. This year the honorees were Hampton's Hometown Heroes including David Bray, Ana R. Daniel, Michael Grim and James Osburn. All four of the honorees support Bay Street as well as many other local businesses & non-profits in the Hampton's Community. The event is held Spring each year, not only to recognize outstanding patron involvement, but also to raise funds for its theatrical and educational programs.
