Nick Blaemire to Lead Industry Reading of New Play TIMEPIECE This Week

Nick Blaemire, known for writing the Broadway musical (Glory Days) while also performing in another Broadway musical (Cry-Baby), leads an invitation-only industry reading of TIMEPIECE-a new play by Ben Bartolone. Directed by Markus Potter (Stalking the Bogeyman), the reading will take place on Thursday, April 9 at the Manhattan Theater Club. Jason A. Quinn will stage manage the event.

The new stage drama Stalking the Bogeymanat New World Stages (340 W. 50th St.) celebrated its official Opening Night yesterday, September 29. Based on the true story of David Holthouse as first told in the Denver Westword newspaper,STALKING THE BOGEYMAN was featured on the popular weekly public radio broadcast 'This American Life' in 2011, which prompted an array of media coverage from national and international outlets including ABC News, '20/20,' the New York Daily News, the LondonDaily Mail and more. THE SUNSHINE BOYS by Neil Simon, the second show of its three-show Summer Nutmeg Summer Series at Connecticut Repertory Theatre is onstage June 19-29 in the Harriet S. Jorgensen Theater, Storrs. As the cast of 42nd Street 'shuffles off to Buffalo,' the Weston Playhouse stage is being set for its final show of the season, To Kill a Mockingbird. Written more than half a century ago, Harper Lee's novel remains a beloved bestseller and is quite possibly one of the most influential novels of the 20th Century. Compassionate and deeply moving, the American masterpiece portraying racial injustice in the deep south will grace the Weston Playhouse stage for the first time.
