UnTheatre Co Partners With Planet Ant For TOO MUCH LIGHT MAKES THE BABY GO BLIND

UnTheatre Co makes Hamtramck its home for the last run of their first season, presenting Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind at Planet Ant, June 8th-23rd. Performances will run todays and Saturdays at 8pm and will take place at Planet Ant Black Box, located at 2357 Caniff St. in Hamtramck. There will be one late-night performance of crowd favorite the Durrty 30 on Saturday, June 16th at 11pm. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $15 plus the resulting number of the roll of a 6-sided die, or online for $21 with the resulting number of the roll of a 6-sided die being returned to you at the door. Returning after sold-out crowds during its October and January runs, UnTheatre Co. kicks off its third presentation of Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind, an attempt to perform 30 plays in 60 minutes, opening April 13 and running through April 28, 2018.

Pegasus Theatre Chicago is proud to announce the authors and plays being presented at the 31st Young Playwrights Festival, Jan. 4 27, 2018 at Pegasus's resident home Chicago Dramatists, 773 N. Aberdeen. Each play is written by high school students and given a staged professional production. The winning productions are performed in tandem Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. Previews are Thursday, Jan. 4 Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. each night. Jeff Awards 2017 Non-Equity Nominations Announced

The Jeff Awards announced, via a special video presentation, a total of 127 nominations in 26 categories for the 44th Annual Non-Equity Jeff Awards for productions that opened between April 1, 2016, and March 31, 2017.  Hosting the video presentation were Alexis Roston and Lillian Castillo, who will be this year's Mistresses of Ceremonies at the Awards event on June 5 at The Athenaeum.
