A.R.T. Kicks Off ASL and Audio Described Performances of WITNESS UGANDA

American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) will present American Sign Language (ASL) interpreted performances for the Deaf and hard of hearing and Audio Described performances for blind and low-vision audience members for its world premiere production of WITNESS UGANDA now playing at the Loeb Drama Center, 64 Battle Street, Cambridge, Massachusetts.

ONCE National Tour Plays the Fox Theatre, Now thru 3/9

The Board of Trustees of the American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) has announced that the theater's annual gala Boundless, which was held at the Boston Park Plaza Castle on Monday, February 24, with more than 350 supporters from Boston, Los Angeles, and New York in attendance, raised more than $675,000 in support of the theater's artistic, community, and education programs.

The producers of the Tony Award winning PIPPIN just announced that Kyle Dean Massey (Next to Normal, Wicked) and Ciara Renee (Big Fish) will assume the roles of "Pippin" and "Leading Player" (respectively) in the production beginning Tuesday, April 1, 2014. Matthew James Thomas and Tony Award winner Patina Miller will play their final performance on Sunday, March 30, 2014. PIPPIN is now playing at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street).

The Chocolate Factory Presents Remix of UNCLE VANYA, Mallory Catlett's THIS WAS THE END, Now thru 3/5

The Chocolate Factory is pleased to present the world premiere of Catlett's This Was The End, a performance in which four actors in their sixties and seventies attempt each night to get to the end of Uncle Vanya-in a last ditch effort to alter the outcome. In Chekhov's play, Vanya asks, 'What if I live to be 60?' This Was The End performs an answer. It uses the play to pose questions about how memory functions in the formation of the future. The cast features veteran downtown luminaries Black-Eyed Susan (Ridiculous Theater & John Jesurun) as Sonya, Paul Zimet (Living Theater & Talking Band) as Vanya, Jim Himelsbach (OBIE for The Foundry's Talk) as Astrov and Rae C Wright (OBIE for Sustained Excellence with The New York Street Theatre Caravan) as Yelena.
