Marin Theatre Company is proud to kick off its 2010-11 season with Part One of The Brother / Sister Plays trilogy, In the Red and Brown Water by Tarell Alvin McCraney, directed by MTC Producing Director Ryan Rilette, September 9 through October 3, 2010. The opening night performance is Tuesday, September 14 at 8 pm.

MICROCRISIS - a new play by Michael Lew - will be given its world-premiere production by Ma-Yi Theater Company, starting previews Off-Broadway on September 28 prior to its official opening night on October 5 at the HERE Arts Center (145 Avenue of the Americas) in New York City.

The Drama Desk and Obie Award-winning Keen Company (Carl Forsman, Artistic Director/Wayne Kelton, Executive Director) today announced their 10th anniversary season celebrating the work of Michael Frayn, author of such acclaimed hits as Noises Off and Copenhagen. First will be the US premiere of Alphabetical Order, based on the revised version performed at the Hampstead Theater for their 2009 revival. Mr. Forsman will direct. This will be followed by the 25th Anniversary production of Benefactors this spring.

Artistic Director Robert Falls trades epic for minimalistic in his actor-centric revival of Anton Chekhov's classic The Seagull, with a cast that includes some of Chicago's most celebrated talent. The culmination of two years of meticulous research and preparation, this production of The Seagull marks a departure from Falls' recent large-scale work-and a focus on the method of Konstantin Stanislavsky, the man often credited as 'the father of modern theater.' An ensemble of 14 brings this 19th century masterpiece to life, including Francis Guinan, making his Goodman debut as the retired judge Sorin, and Mary Beth Fisher as his sister, Arkadina, a beautiful, selfish actress. For this revival, Falls has tapped an acclaimed, award-winning design team-Todd Rosenthal (Set), Ana Kuzmanic (Costumes), Keith Parham (Lighting) and Richard Woodbury (Sound). Goodman Theatre continues to celebrate its 10th season in Chicago's North Loop Theatre District with The Seagull, which runs October 16 - November 14, 2010 in the Owen Theatre; tickets are $10 - $45. SOULED OUT, psychic intuitive Pattie Canova's autobiographical one-woman show, will return to Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex for a 6-show run from September 19 through December 5. Created, written and performed by Canova, SOULED OUT is being presented by the Sunday Series at Abingdon, a company dedicated to new plays and emerging theatre artists.

Uptown Players, a professional theater group located in the Uptown area of Dallas, has announced its 2011 season, which will feature the regional premieres of Young Man From Atlanta, The Temperamentals, and an exciting musical to be named later, as well as the musical comedy Victor/Victoria at the Kalita Humphreys Theater. Uptown Players will also present its annual fundraising performance - Broadway Our Way, which will be held in May this year.

Santa Rosa's 6th Street Playhouse announces its 2010-2011 'All-American' season featuring four musicals and eight plays. The twelve-show season offers a wide variety of theater productions, from Aug. 13, 2010 through June 26, 2011, including family musicals, comedies, American classics and two world premieres.
