Emerging Artists Enters Final Week of JOSEPHINE BAKER

Emerging Artists Theatre, the company that produced last season's hit Penny Penniworth , presents the Off-Broadway premiere of The Sensational Josephine Baker, a rich, comedic, moving musical portrait of the unique iconic Jazz Age legend, Josephine Baker. Preview performances began Tuesday, September 7th , it opened on Tuesday, September 14 and continues through Sunday, October 3rd at TADA Theatre, 15 West 28th Street, 2nd floor, between Broadway and 5th Avenue. Show times are: Tuesday and Friday at 7pm; Wednesday and Sunday at 2pm; and Saturday at 5pm and 9pm. A Noise Within Presents Noel Coward's Blithe Spirit, Runs 10/9-12/17

A Noise Within (ANW), the acclaimed classical repertory theatre company, presents Noel Coward's timeless comedic gem Blithe Spirit, directed by Damaso Rodriguez, which opens Saturday, October 9 and closes Friday, December 17, 2010 (previews begin Saturday, October 2).

Itallie Adds Chapter to AMERICA HURRAH

Jean-Claude van Itallie ('The Tibetan Book of the Dead,' 'The Cherry Orchard,' 'The Serpent,' 'Master and Margarita') is writing 'The Mother's Return' as an addition to his seminal work of modern drama, the trilogy known as 'America Hurrah.' From October 15 to 24, 2010, Theatre Research Ensemble (TReE) will perform 'America Hurrah Revisited & The Mother's Return, a work in progress.' The evening is a re-envisioning of a portion of the famed trilogy together with a first staging of the new addition.

JULIUS CAESAR Closes In Municipal Parking Lot In NY, 8/14

The second and final production this summer of The Drilling Company's Shakespeare in the Park(ing) Lot will be 'Julius Caesar,' directed by Hamilton Clancy (Artistic Director) July 29 to August 14. In an unusual adaptation, Shakespeare's drama about the nature of ambition and politics is set in a contemporary urban school system.

BONES Ends Performances At The Kirk Douglas Theater 8/8

The world premiere of Dael Orlandersmith's 'Bones' opened Saturday, July 31 at 8 p.m. at Center Theatre Group's Kirk Douglas Theatre. Commissioned by CTG, 'Bones' ran for nine performances and will close on August 8, 2010, as part of DouglasPlus programming.

Both plays will be presented as part of DouglasPlus programming at Center Theatre Group's Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City.
