New York City Opera will present La Bohème on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 7pm as part of their Park Series in Bryant Park Picnic Performances presented by Bank of America.

THE FEAST is a world premiere reinvention of a baroque banquet inspired by G. F. Handel’s opera Alessandro, featuring wide-ranging operatic and orchestral works from Handel’s repertoire in an evening-length experience that merges opera, dance, theater, and cuisine.

New York City Opera will present a season of four free, live performances this summer as part of their Park Series in Bryant Park Picnic Performances presented by Bank of America. Each performance features City Opera's brightest stars as well as members of the City Opera orchestra and will begin at 7pm on the Bryant Park Stage.

New York City Opera has announced the winners of the 2023 Duncan Williams Voice Competition. Hosted by J'Nai Bridges, the competition spotlights Black and Latinx singers and awards over $50,000 in prize money.

Sarasota Opera has announced the 2023-2024 Opera Season today in a press conference on the main stage of the Sarasota Opera House. It will include four exciting opera productions, with one company premiere, a revival of a Sarasota Opera favorite, and two works that have not been given in more than a decade. There will also be a return of a favorite concert with orchestra and the industry-leading Sarasota Youth Opera production. 

Seattle Opera has announced its 2023/24 season, which celebrates the company’s 60th anniversary. To mark the occasion, Seattle Opera offers a range of titles spanning nearly all of opera’s history, from the eighteenth century to the 1980s.

New York City Opera will celebrate the holidays with All Is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914 at Sacred Heart University Community Theatre, presented in association with Bodhi Tree Concerts and with the support of Kings Alley.

On October 28, 2022, Houston Grand Opera (HGO) will open a must-see new production of Dame Ethel Smyth's epic 1906 opera The Wreckers. This will be the first-ever full-scale production of The Wreckers from a major American opera company.

New York City Opera will present an abridged version of Donizetti's classic Lucia di Lammermoor on Friday, September 2, 2022 at 7pm as part of Bryant Park Picnic Performances presented by Bank of America.

Bryant Park Picnic Performances presented by Bank of America will continue on September 2 with New York City Opera's fourth and final summer 2022 performance at Bryant Park, a special one-night-only abridged version of Donizetti’s classic Lucia di Lammermoor.

Enjoy an evening of great American operatic works by composers including Carlisle Floyd, Ricky Ian Gordon, Douglas Moore, Tobias Picker, Robert Ward, and Iain Bell. The concert will feature performances by extraordinary artists from the New York City Opera, including Tatev Baroyan, Lisa Chavez, Mark Delavan, Kristin Sampson, and Victor Starsky.

New York City Opera will present Opera's Greatest Moments on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at 7pm at Wollman Rink in Central Park.

The Boston Modern Orchestra Project (BMOP) and Odyssey Opera, two of today's leading innovators on the classical musical scene, present the New England premiere of Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Anthony Davis's seminal opera X: The Life and Times of Malcolm X (1986) on June 17, 2022, at the Strand Theatre.

New York City Opera presents a family-friendly version of The Barber of Seville at the Theater at St. Jean's, 150 E. 76th Street, NYC on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at 10am & 2pm. Gioachino Rossini's sparkling music animates the hijinks of Figaro, opera's most famous barber.
