SICKS Receives Limited NYC Revival in September

Gobsmacked! Productions, LLC is set to launch their new season with a limited revival of Clay Edmonds' play SICKS: An Evening with Six of the Most Notorious Women in History which will run from September 11-16 at walkerspace. The play was first produced in 1996 at the Acting Studio and this production will feature direction from Clay Edmonds and Janet Jenness.

Sugar Valley Theatricals Presents MUNCHED Reading to Benefit WORTH, 9/9

Sugar Valley Theatricals, Bryan Webster, artistic director, in association with Isaac H. Suggs, Jr., presents a special staged reading performance of MUNCHED by Kim Porter, directed by Petronia Paley, as a benefit for Women on the Rise Telling HerStory (WORTH).

Hani Furstenberg, Brian Mendes & More Join Adam Rapp's THROUGH THE YELLOW HOUR at Rattlestick; Full Cast Announced!

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long have announced the cast and creative team for the world premiere of Through the Yellow Hour, a play written and directed by Adam Rapp (Pulitzer Prize finalist for Red Light Winter). The first production of the company's 18th season, Through the Yellow Hour will begin performances on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Rattlestick Theater (224 Waverly Place-off Seventh Avenue South, between Perry and West 11th Streets). The cast includes Hani Furstenberg, Brian Mendes, Matt Pilieci, Danielle Slavick, Alok Tewari, Joanne Tucker, and Vladimir Versailles.

Jeffrey Bean, James Belcher and More Set for NOVEMBER at Alley Theatre, 8/24-9/23

Alley Theatre Artistic Director Gregory Boyd announces the cast and creative team for the Alley Theatre's production of November. November features Alley Theatre Resident Actors Jeffrey Bean as President Charles Smith, James Belcher as The Representative of the National Association of Turkey and Turkey Products, Elizabeth Bunch as Clarice Bernstein, David Rainey as Dwight Grackle, and Todd Waite as Archer Brown. November, by David Mamet and directed by Sanford Robbins, begins performances Friday, August 24, opens officially Wednesday, August 29, and runs through Sunday, September 23 on the Neuhaus Stage.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) and Aron Lewis Productions present He's Not Himself a new musical comedy by Marc Silverberg. Michael Pantone directs a cast of five including Keith Panzarella, Marc Silverberg, Taylor Sorice, Dexter Thomas-Payne, and Carly Voight. Performances for He's Not Himself will be held at the PTC Performance Space, 555 West 42nd Street (bet. 10th & 11th Avenues) in NYC for six performances from tonight, July 9 through Monday, July 16, 2012.

FREE SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL Set for Griffith Park this Summer

GRIFFITH PARK FREE SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL 2012, the largest summer theater event in the City of Los Angeles, begins its performances June 28 and runs Thursdays through Sundays at 7 p.m. through to September 2. All Performances are free.

Independent Shakespeare Co. Kicks Off Griffith Park Free Shakespeare Festival 2012, 6/28

GRIFFITH PARK FREE SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL 2012, the largest summer theater event in the City of Los Angeles, begins its performances June 28. This year ISC is offering over 40 nights of programming. In addition to the productions, there are nine PLAYERS IN THE PARK/JUGAMOS EN EL PARQUE pre-show workshops on select evenings. These workshops are an interactive, entertaining way for families to learn about the evening's performance. There are also these are lectures on topics related to Shakespeare as well as curtain-raising performances by local musicians and dancers.

Fox Valley Repertory kicks off the 2nd Annual Summer Theater Fest in St. Charles with five singers, one baby grand piano, and more than 30 songs as they bring Chicago's critic-acclaimed and Jeff-Nominated Theo Ubique production of Some Enchanted Evening: The Songs of Rodgers & Hammerstein on the Pheasant Run Resort Mainstage (4051 E. Main St., St. Charles, IL; box office 630-584-6342).

Cristina Fontanelli Set for Enrico Caruso Museum Benefit Tonight, 6/5

Cristina Fontanelli, the renowned soprano who recently made her fourth annual performance at the prestigious Feinstein's at The Loews Regency and served as host for PBS television specials starring Andrea Bocelli ( "Live From Central Park"), Il Volo, the Vienna Boys Choir and the Qi ong specials, will perform a benefit concert for the Enrico Caruso Museum tonight, Tuesday, June 5, at 8 PM at the Enrico Caruso Room at Grotta Azzurra Ristorante, 177 Mulberry Street, in historic Little Italy.

Award-winning playwright Richard Martin Hirsch takes us back to the Summer of '69, exploring the fragile nature of friendship in a world premiere dramedy inspired by true events. Darin Anthony directs The Closeness of the Horizon for a six-week run tonight, May 18 through June 24, presented by CoffeeHouse Productions at the Odyssey Theatre in West Los Angeles.
