The 13th Annual Goodspeed Festival of New Musicals, produced by Goodspeed Musicals' Max Showalter Center for Education in Musical Theatre, kicks off its much-anticipated three-day festival of brand-new works on Friday, January 12, 2018 at The Goodspeed with a staged reading of the rousing new musical Five Points by Ethan D. Pakchar (Music) and Douglas Lyons (Music and Lyrics), and McKnight Fellowship winner Harrison David Rivers (Book).

AUSTEN'S PRIDE, A New Musical of Pride and Prejudice springs to life when the author re-imagines the world of her novel. As the love story of Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy unfolds, Jane Austen learns to see both the story and herself in a new light.

On April 7th, 2017, Roberts Wesleyan College hosted the Carolyn Bowman Women in Theatre Symposium, a day dedicated to female empowerment in an industry with a severe lack of gender equality.

A riveting journey across both the sea and time will be presented at Boston College, as 2007 alumna Patricia Noonan -- an accomplished New York City-based actor, singer and writer -- returns to campus to stage her original musical.

BroadwayWorld has just learned that film, television, and theatre actor Geoffrey Arend (MADAM SECRETARY on CBS) will be joining previously announced Stephanie J. Block and Sebastian Arcelus in Midtown Direct Rep's staged reading of THE IMPOSSIBILITY OF NOW, a new play written by Y York and directed by Will Pomerantz.  Broadway actress Marni Raab (The Phantom of the Opera) will read the stage directions.
