New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) is proud to present its annual Mother's Day engagement of America's premier modern dance company, Alvin Ailey on Friday, May 8th, 2015 at 8PM, Saturday, May 9th, 2015 at 8PM and Sunday, May 10th, 2015 at 3PM.

The prestigious Joffrey Ballet Concert Group graces THE BLACK BOX in downtown Franklin with a spectacular program of dance that includes Gerald Arpino's celebrated signature work, Light Rain. The performance, at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 21, is presented as part of THE BLACK BOX Artist-in-Residence Series, which also features afternoon master classes with Nicole Duffy Robertson, a repetiteur for The Gerald Arpino and Robert Joffrey Foundation and a faculty member at the Joffrey Ballet School, a premiere institution of American dance.

BalletNext, led by Artistic Director Michele Wiles, had a closed rehearsal run-through of its new program at Alvin Ailey Studios, on January 31, 2015, replete with live music. The fine musicians are: Adrianne Post, violin (Saturday 1/31 only), Liv Heym, violin (performances at NYLA); Beth Wenstrom, violin; Anneke Schael-Yoder, cello; Elliot Figg, harpsichord. It was an up-close glimpse at the dancers and works choreographed by Canadian Peter Qwanz, Flex dancer Jay Donn (born Jonathan George), and Wiles, herself, an exciting way to experience dance.

New York City-based Complexions Contemporary Ballet performs Innervisions, an upbeat modern dance tribute to the music of Stevie Wonder, as well as other works, when it takes the stage at Mayo Performing Arts Center tonight, February 7, 2015 at 8 pm. Tickets are $29-49

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust presents the poignant and contemporary choreography of Ronald K. Brown/Evidence tonight, February 7, 2015 at 8:00pm. This performance will take place at the Byham Theater, located at 101 Sixth Street, downtown Pittsburgh. The presentation is part of the 2014-15 Pittsburgh Dance Council season.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) today announced that Jen Bender has been named as the new Director of Programming and Artist Services for the organization. Jen returns to NYMF after having served as a founding producer of the Festival in 2004.

Randy James' all male dance company, 10 Hairy Legs, returns to Crossroads Theatre, New Brunswick for its third consecutive appearance on Sunday, March 29 at 3:00 pm. Continuing to showcase the company's expanded repertory that explores the range of the male dancer, the performance will be followed by a Panel Discussion on the stage with Artistic Director Randy James, New Jersey choreographer Cleo Mack and Company Member Kyle Marshall. From March 12 - 22, 2015 Houston Ballet offers up Modern Masters, a spring mixed repertory program showcasing works by three of the twentieth century's greatest choreographers.

Dance Currents, Inc. is presenting 'Drawn In' at Green Street Studios tonight, January 31 at 7:30 pm. The choreographers presenting pieces are: Kathy Hassinger, Margot Parsons, and Ali Smith.
