Roundabout Theatre Company's production of Dinner with Friends by Pulitzer Prize winner Donald Margulies and directed by Tony Award winner Pam MacKinnon, will conclude its limited engagement on April 13, 2014 at 2:00PM.

The Nominating Committee of the Independent Reviewers of New England has just announced nominees for the 2014 IRNE Awards. The Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE) Awards, founded by Beverly Creasey of the Journal Newspapers and Larry Stark of TheaterMirror in 1997, recognize the extraordinary wealth of talent in the Boston theatre community.

Huntington Theatre Company has received 29 IRNE Award nominations from the Independent Reviewers of New England for its 2013 productions. The Committee recognized the Huntington with the following nominations:

Perhaps the most controversial opera of the 20th century makes its Southern California debut when Long Beach Opera (LBO) stages John Adams' The Death of Klinghoffer on March 16 and March 22 at the Terrace Theater in downtown Long Beach. This powerful and unsettling work chronicles the 1985 hijacking of the Mediterranean cruise ship Achille Lauro by Palestinian terrorists and the murder of disabled Jewish-American passenger, Leon Klinghoffer. LBO's production is a partner presentation of the Los Angeles Philharmonic's 'Minimalist Jukebox' Festival.

Director Pam MacKinnon and her sharp ensemble perfectly balance the tragic feelings of the characters with their comic obliviousness to how out of touch they are.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) announces Heather Burns ('Bored to Death') will join the company in the role of 'Beth'. Maria Dizzia departed the production before rehearsals began, for personal reasons. Dinner with Friends by Pulitzer Prize winner Donald Margulies, directed by Tony Award® winner Pam MacKinnon will also feature Marin Hinkle as 'Karen', Darren Pettie as 'Tom,' and Jeremy Shamos as 'Gabe.'

Tony and Olivier Award-winning director Maria Aitken once again brings her deft touch to Boston's Huntington Theatre Company with a taut and tangy production of THE COCKTAIL HOUR, A.R. Gurney's quasi-autobiographical expose of the bitter truths lurking beneath one well-bred WASP family's carefully polished veneer.

FAR FROM HEAVEN's Kelli O'Hara, Isaiah Johnson and Nancy Anderson will perform at Barnes & Noble with special guests Scott Frankel and Michael Korie in celebration of the release of the musical's Original Cast Recording. They will also be signing CDs. It all takes place tonight, November 13 at 7 p.m. on the event stage at the Barnes & Noble, Upper East Side, 86th and Lexington.

Playwrights Horizons previously announced that the critically-acclaimed score for their World Premiere production of the new musical FAR FROM HEAVEN had been preserved as an Original Cast Recording and will be released by PS Classics, the label dedicated to the heritage of Broadway and American popular song, today, November 12.

The romantic comedy Parfumerie, adapted by E.P. Dowdall from the Hungarian playIllatszertar by Miklos Laszlo, will have a rare revival as the first theater production of the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts (Lou Moore, Executive Director), for a limited, 29 performance engagement November 26 to December 22. The production, directed by Mark Brokaw, who is currently represented on Broadway with Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, centers on a romance that unfolds through love letters, a perfect homage to the historic Beverly Hills Post Office.
