Williamstown Theatre Festival Artistic Director Jenny Gersten has announced the Main Stage opening of Far From Heaven tonight, July 21.

FAR FROM HEAVEN began an engagement at the Williamstown Theatre Festival on the mainstage on July 19 and will run through July 29, 2012. Get a behind-the-scenes look (and listen) to the wonderful score and talented cast in rehearsals below!

The Cape Cod premiere of the smash hit off-Broadway comedy THE DIVINE SISTER opens tonight, July 12 at the Provincetown Theater, and runs Thursday, Friday, and Saturday through September 8th. All performances will be at 8:00PM. Ticket for THE DIVINE SISTER are $30.00, and are available by calling the box office at 508-487-7487, or online at www.provincetowntheater.org.

Williamstown Theatre Festival Artistic Director Jenny Gersten announced today the full cast and creative teams for Last of the Red Hot Lovers, which will be presented on the Nikos Stage from July 11 through July 22 (opening July 12), and the Preview Production of Far From Heaven, which will play the Main Stage from July 19 through July 29 (opening July 21). Both shows begin rehearsals today in preparation for their runs at the Festival.

Gingold Theatrical Group's PROJECT SHAW presented THE APPLE CART by George Bernard Shaw - a comedy of a king and the hoops he has to jump through to stay on the throne - yesterday, June 18 at The Players Club in Manhattan. David Staller produced and directed the event and BroadwayWorld was on hand for the photo op!

Yesterday, June 5, theatre legend Patti LuPone opened the new nightclub and restaurant, 54 Below, with a two-week engagement of a new act that will run through June 16. Before the star took the stage for the evening performance, she treated the press to a special sneak peek of the show and BroadwayWorld was there to talk to the star and capture her memorable performance!

The 7th Provincetown Tennessee Williams Festival announced that this year's program of "Tennessee Williams and Music" will present the pleasures of music in the drama of America's great playwright. The seaside village of Provincetown will be alive with the sounds of blues, Mariachi, Dixieland, American Pop, Art Song and African drums. Theater artists from around the globe will converge on this art colony where Williams worked over several summers in the 1940s, performing his classics, his little known works and new works that he has inspired.

Yesterday, May 24, Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein hosted a special Birthday party on to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Little / Helen Hayes Theatre, which opened on March 12, 1912 with John Galsworthy's play The Pigeon. 54 BELOW, the nightclub and restaurant announced earlier this year, today confirmed additional bookings at the new space located at 254 West 54th Street. Taking the 54 BELOW stage will be world famous Tony Award winners, recording artists, as well as new talent from the New York and Broadway stage.

The long-running Off Broadway favorite Love, Loss, and What I Wore will close tonight, Sunday, March 25, 2012 after playing for two and a half years and 1,013 performances. (March 15th marked the show's landmark 1,000 performance.)
