Guerilla Opera is all fun and games in their 10th anniversary season, featuring a new production of Loose, Wet, Perforated with music and libretto by Nicholas P. Vines in September 2016 and the world premiere of Play, the Game or Game, the Play with music and libretto by composer and theater artist Rick Burkhardt in May 2017.
Guerilla Opera, in conclusion of their ninth season, presents the world premiere of Beowulf with music and libretto by Hannah Lash, stage direction by Andrew Eggert, and scenic design by Julia Noulin-Merat. Lash's Beowulf is a modern-day adaptation of the well know epic poem, in which Beowulf is a doctor caring for his elderly mother and suffering from post-traumatic stresses upon his return from a recent war. He discovers that his mother is being abused by the nursing home staff and removes her, determined to care for her himself. In discussing the opera, composer Hannah Lash said:

Guerilla Opera enthusiastically welcomes Susan Larson to their Board of Directors. In her retirement, Larson worked as music writer for The Boston Globe and is now a published author, but many know her best from Peter Sellars' innovative productions of the late 1980s. She is one of the groundbreaking artists of her generation that changed the opera director's and opera audience's perception of what an opera singer is capable of. Subsequent generations of opera singers evolved because of dynamic singing actors like her.

Guerilla Opera presents Gallo: a fable in music in one act, a world premiere chamber opera with music and libretto by Rome-Prize winning composer Ken Ueno, and direction by Metropolitan Opera stage director Sarah Meyers. The world premiere chamber opera investigates how the landscape and man shape and transform each other. It also addresses the fundamental question of ontology, “the chicken or the egg,” and features a soprano in a Houdini box filled with Cheerios and a countertenor in a chicken suit. Gallo plays Thursday through Saturday, May 22-24 and 29-30, 2014 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, May 31 at 2 p.m. with talk-backs on Friday, May 23 and Saturday, May 24.
