Joyce DeWitt to Lead Alhambra Theatre & Dining's REMEMBER ME

Opening September 5 for just four short weeks, Joyce DeWitt, co-star of the ABC hit comedy, "Three's Company," will star in Sam Bobrick's romantic comedy, Remember Me. From 1977 through 1984 - for more than 170 episodes -- miss DeWitt is most widely known to audiences for her role as 'Janet Wood', but she is no stranger to live theater, working both as actress and director in a stage career that spans over forty years. She recently starred in A Scattered, Smothered and Covered Christmas Musical and the Canadian productions of the 2000 Pulitzer Prize-winning play Dinner With Friends and Alfred Uhry's Tony Award-winning play The Last Night of Ballyhoo. Other recent stage performances include the North American premiere of the Australian comedy Daylight Savings, the British farce Noises Off, the revival of Cole Porter's Anything Goes, and the Broadway musical Olympus on My Mind, for which she completed the cast recording - her first record album.

The Guthrie Theater presents a special In Conversation with Broadway producer Emanuel "Manny" Azenberg. The event will be held tonight, Monday, August 27 at 7:30 p.m. on the Wurtele Thrust Stage at the Guthrie. Atlanta's nationally acclaimed Alliance Theatre will begin its Hertz Stage series with the world premiere of APPLES & ORANGES, a play by Tony Award, Academy Award, and Pulitzer Prize winning author Alfred Uhry. APPLES & ORANGES is based on the memoir of the same name by Vanity Fair writer-at-large Marie Brenner and was originally commissioned by the Manhattan Theatre Club. Lynne Meadow, Artistic Director of Manhattan Theatre Club, will direct the world premiere.

There's a reason that Alfred Uhry's Pulitzer Prize winning heartbreaker "Driving Miss Daisy" isn't produced much around here: casting. It's not always so easy, especially for a small theater company, to find three strong, age and race appropriate actors to take on this beautiful piece and do it justice. And there is where ReAct Theatre director David Hsieh lucked out with their current production as their three amazing performers handled the subject matter and the sizable passage of time in the show with grace and heart and also managed some stunning chemistry among each other.

Five-time Tony Award® and three-time Academy Award® nominee Angela Lansbury and two-time Tony Award® winner and Academy Award® winner James Earl Jones are coming together in Brisbane in Alfred Uhry's Pulitzer Prize-winning classic play Driving Miss Daisy. It was announced today by Events Queensland and Australian theatre producer John Frost that Driving Miss Daisy will play an exclusive Australian season at the Playhouse, QPAC, Brisbane from February 5, 2013.

Titled "The Highest Standard", the evening celebrated its five Pulitzer Prize-winning productions and honor the creators of these memorable works for the theater. The honorees were James Lapine (Sunday in the Park with George), Bruce Norris (Clybourne Park), Stephen Sondheim (Sunday in the Park with George), Alfred Uhry (Driving Miss Daisy), Wendy Wasserstein (The Heidi Chronicles) and Doug Wright (I Am My Own Wife).
