Cinedigm Entertainment Group, a division of Cinedigm Digital Cinema Corp. (NASDAQ: CIDM), has acquired North American distribution rights to writer-director Geoffrey Fletcher's VIOLET & DAISY, which world premiered at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival. Fletcher recently earned the Cinevation Award for his work on VIOLET & DAISY at the 2012 Savannah Film Festival. Cinedigm's theatrical distribution will commence in 2013, with subsequent roll out across on-demand, digital and DVD.

On Sunday, December 2, Rubicon Theatre Company will present a benefit performance of Love, Loss, and What I Wore with a star-studded cast of women including Emmy and Tony-winner Tyne Daly, Amy Peitz and Amanda McBroom.

Producer Charlie Lyons (The Water Horse, The Guardian, Ladder 49), director Jay Russell (The Water Horse, Ladder 49, My Dog Skip) and actor Tim Guinee (NBC's "Revolution", Showtime's "Homeland", "Iron Man I & II") worked for two years to acquire the theatrical stage rights to the most famous and beloved of all noir short stories, "Rear Window" (aka "It Had to be Murder"). This unique producing consortium announced today their plans to mount a Broadway production of the iconic and haunting tale of the wheelchair bound witness to a possible murder in his neighboring New York City apartment. Although the Broadway rights in this story have been repeatedly sought over the years from the Sheldon Abend Revocable Trust and its predecessors, this is the first option ever granted.

The 2012 American Film Market (AFM), set for October 31-November 7 in Santa Monica will screen more than 420 motion pictures, including 77 world premieres and 306 market premieres, for thousands of film buyers and industry professionals from more than 70 countries. Toronto International Film Festival®(TIFF) breakout talent, Tatiana Maslany (Picture Day, The Vow), has been cast to star in the new original series Orphan Black, produced by Temple Street Productions for BBC AMERICA and Canadian cable channel, SPACE. The announcement was made as Maslany was feted for her starring role in the feature Picture Day, which made its world premiere at this year's festival. The Genie and Gemini-nominated actor, who received the 2010 Sundance special jury prize for Grown Up Movie Star, is capturing the increasing attention of fans and industry elite alike - including recent critical acclaim from The Globe and Mail, Toronto Sun, and NOW Magazine. Set to begin production in Toronto this October, additional casting for the 10 episode series will be announced soon.

The Off-Broadway League today announced the confirmed performers for the 2012 Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway. Additionally, the remaining tickets to the show have been released for sale to the public at a discounted rate of $35 each. Producer Daryl Roth just announced the complete cast for the final month of the long-running hit show Love, Loss, and What I Wore. Karyn Quackenbush, who has been associated with the show as performer and standby since its first readings in 2009, and Joyce van Patten, who starred as 'Gingy' in the September 2011 cast, will join previously announced cast members Sierra Boggess, Ally Walker and Erica Watson, performing Wednesday, February 29 through Sunday, March 25, which marks the show's 1,013th and final performance.
