Frankly, Synetic knocks it out of the park. Out of the city. Out of the state. Out of the good ole' U.S. of A.

February 2, 1954 marks the 59th anniversary of George Balanchine's The Nutcracker. Wasn't the ballet presented in December? No, you are wrong. It was first unveiled by the New York City Ballet in 1954 for a few performances. It proved so popular that the company presented the ballet for an extended December run in 1954. It's been like that to this day.

recuperating from countless Nutcrackers, Messiahs, Strauss waltzes and polkas
and a plethora of other Holiday extravaganzas that many colleagues rely on for a
large portion of their annual income. Like retailers, musicians count on the Holiday
Season's musical embrace to help them survive a somewhat lean winter.
