Theatre Horizon continues its 2010/2011 Season with THE VERY MERRY XMAS CAROL HOLIDAY ADVENTURE SHOW, written by The Berserker Residents (Justin Jain, Dave Johnson, Tim Sawicki and Brad Wrenn). In this comedic romp, directed by Alex Torra expert actors marshal their theatrical superpowers to reveal a nontraditional vision of the holiday -and of ourselves -that is both bizarre, illuminating, and wickedly funny.

La Jolla Playhouse announces a new family-friendly Page To Stage Workshop Production: Cankerblossom, conceived and created by Pig Iron Theatre Company, directed by Dan Rothenberg, with cartoonist/puppeteer Beth Nixon, music by Rosie Langabeer, set and animation by Mimi Lien, lighting by James Clotfelter, video projection by Josh Higgason, and performed by Hinako Arao, Beth Nixon, David Sweeney and Alex Torra. Cankerblossom will run August 12 - 15, 2010 in the Mandell Weiss Forum, with performances Thursday, August 12 at 7:00 pm; Friday, August 13 at 7:00 pm; Saturday, August 14 at 2:30 pm and 7:00 pm and Sunday, August 15 at 2:30 pm. Tickets are $25 for adults; $20 for subscribers and $15 for children 12 and under.

ENJOY - a new play by the renowned Japanese playwright Toshiki Okada -- will be given its English-language premiere in a production by the Obie award-winning Off-Broadway theatre company, The Play Company. The show, which began previews March 27, will official open tonight, April 6, 2010 Off-Broadway at 59E59 Theaters (Elysabeth Kleinhans, Artistic Director; Peter Tear, Executive Producer), located at 59 E. 59 St., between Park and Madison Avenues in Manhattan. Kate Loewald is Founding Producer of The Play Company; Lauren Weigel is Managing Producer. This production is presented in association with Japan Society.
