Center Stage Sets PRIDE AND PREJUDICE Cast

Center Stage announces the cast and creative team of Pride and Prejudice, the first show of its 2015/16 Season. The play begins performances Sept. 11, with opening night set for Sept. 18.

Rock Operetta LOVE IS LIKE MUD to Premiere at FringeNYC This August

Love is Like Mud will have its World Premiere at The New York International Fringe Festival in August. The rock operetta is written by Ben Folstein who also serves as the director and band leader. Brooklyn based band Level II will provide the music. The production is being produced by Level II Theatre.

BWW Reviews: MARLEY: A Rare and Topical Event at Center Stage

Even though the historical Marley was probably mainly thinking about apartheid when he sang these words, you could not possibly sing them on a Baltimore stage these days without making the audience think of events closer to home. Bob Marley, very self-consciously a prophet, sang for his moment, but he sang as well for the ages, which includes our own. Center Stage could not have bought Bob Marley's topicality, but it could earn it, and did. One could believe it really was Marley up there, singing right to us.

George Street Playhouse and Artistic Director David Saint welcome New Jersey native John Tartaglia, from the original Broadway cast of Avenue Q, as well as TV's Sesame Streetand the Emmy Award - nominated Johnny and the Sprites to New Brunswick as the sole cast member of Buyer & Cellar, the fourth production of the New Brunswick theatre's current season. Mr. Tartaglia will take the fictional journey to the fictional version of Barbra Streisand's fictional basement through March 29. Opening night is set for tomorrow, Friday, March 6. CBS Announces Summer Premiere Dates for EXTANT, ZOO & More

CBS today announced premiere dates for its lineup of original summer programing that includes the new drama ZOO, returning event series UNDER THE DOME and EXTANT, and the summer reality hit BIG BROTHER.

BETTE DAVIS ON THE EDGE Begins Tonight at Mainstreet Theatre

Bette Davis On the Edge, a new one-woman show about the screen legend, written and performed by Christine St. John, an American actress, who has spent the last two decades working in London, and directed by renowned Chicago director, teacher and casting agent, Jane Drake Brody, will receive its world premiere at the Mainstreet Theatre in Michigan City, Indiana, beginning on September 12th, and running for four performances through September 20th.

Hodges and Hodges were practically giddy with anticipation and almost drooling at the thought of seeing Michael Urie in his one-person show Buyer & Cellar, which is all about the amazing, magnificent, brilliant (and sometimes a teeny-tiny bit OCD) Barbra Streisand.

Cincinnati Playhouse to Stage SHERLOCK HOLMES AND THE ADVENTURE OF THE SUICIDE CLUB, 9/6-10/4

The world's most famous fictional sleuth adds a novel chapter to his repertoire with playwright Jeffrey Hatcher's electrifying new whodunit SHERLOCK HOLMES AND THE ADVENTURE OF THE SUICIDE CLUB, which opens the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park's 55th season. The play is an inventive mash-up of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's iconic characters and the Robert Louis Stevenson short story "The Suicide Club," providing a clever, intricately woven new mystery for Holmes to deduce. SHERLOCK HOLMES AND THE ADVENTURE OF THE SUICIDE CLUB runs Sept. 6 through Oct. 4 in the Robert S. Marx Theatre.

Waterwell Launches Film Division, Will Premiere DAY TEN at Tribeca

Waterwell, one of the Village Voice's Best Arguments for Devised Theater and creators of Goodbar and #9, announces the official launching of its film division with the World Premier of the short film, Day Ten, at the 13th Annual Tribeca Film Festival. Day Ten, is written and directed by Arian Moayed and stars Omar Metwally.

Naomi Wallace's THE LIQUID PLAIN to Premiere at OSF, 7/6

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival will open the world premiere production of Naomi Wallace's The Liquid Plain on Saturday, July 6 at 8:00 p.m. in the Thomas Theatre. The play is directed by Kwame Kwei-Armah, artistic director at Center Stage in Baltimore, Maryland.

BUYER & CELLAR, Starring Michael Urie, to Transfer to Barrow Street Theatre, 6/18-24

Producers Darren Bagert, Dan Shaheen, and Ted Snowdon have announced that the hit comedy Buyer & Cellar, starring Michael Urie ('Ugly Betty'), written by Jonathan Tolins, and directed by Stephen Brackett, will transfer to the Barrow Street Theatre for a ten-week engagement beginning Tuesday, June 18, at 7:30pm and opening Monday, June 24. Tickets go on sale today.
