Play On! is the hilarious story of a theater group trying desperately to put on a play in spite of maddening interference from a haughty author who keeps revising the script. Through dreadful rehearsals, including a near disastrous dress rehearsal, the audience is treated to a madcap climax to a thoroughly hilarious romp.

Humid summer nights spent grilling and mowing lawns in a subdivision might initially seem like an odd concept for a musical, but a new production performed by Columbus' own Shots in the Dark Theatre Company took inspiration from these often-mundane surroundings to create a new musical that explores the satirical and sometimes sinister aspects of the great American Dream.

A new musical is coming to town--one that explores the themes of love, passion and the suburban American Dream, wittily played out under the golden glow of neighborhood streetlights.

Shots in the Dark Independent Theatre Company presents BEAUTIFUL CUL DE SAC.  Performances are tonight, June 19, 20, 26, and 27 at 8:00pm, and June 28 at 2:00pm at UAHS Little Theater, 1650 Ridgeview Rd., Upper Arlington, OH. 43221.  

Set in 1999 or so in Stony Bridge Lakes, a suburb of Columbus, Ohio, BEAUTIFUL CUL DE SAC follows two families as they interact, intermingle, and intercourse their way through suburban life. This is a hilarious new musical that tackles themes of family, love, sex, and art.
