Today, lead producers Margo Lion and Hal Luftig announced that previews for the new Broadway musical CATCH ME IF YOU CAN will begin on Friday, March 11, 2011 at The Neil Simon Theatre, 250 W. 52nd Street, rather than on the previously announced Monday, March 7, 2011. The four day postponement is necessary to accommodate the production's load in and technical rehearsal schedule which had been compressed due to the extension of the previous tenant at The Neil Simon Theatre, RAIN - A Tribute To The Beatles on Broadway, and then delayed by the record snowfall that has occurred in New York City. Opening Night will remain on Sunday, April 10, 2011.

Despite legendary costume designer Bob Mackie working on CATCH ME IF YOU CAN's 2009 Seattle tryout, he will not be part of the creative team as the show opens on Broadway. Multiple Tony Award winner William Ivey Long is now working with the show.

Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced that the World Premiere of Robin and the 7 Hoods - A New Musical and the West Coast Premiere of Tony Award winner Joe DiPietro's The Last Romance will each receive a week of additional performances due to popular demand.

The World Premiere of Robin and the 7 Hoods - A New Musical featuring a book by Tony Award winner Rupert Holmes and songs by four-time Academy Award winners Sammy Cahn and Jimmy Van Heusen. Michael Riedel reports in the New York Post this morning that make no mistake about it - Robin and the 7 Hoods, which opened at San Deigo's Old Globe Theatre last Friday, July 30, is coming to town, at least if the widow of the show's lyricist has anything to do with it. Robin and the 7 Hoods, which garnered lukewarm reviews out west, features the music of Sammy Cahn and Jimmy Van Heusen, including the songs 'My Kind of Town,' 'Call Me Irresponsible,' 'Ain't That a Kick in the Head,' 'All the Way' and more. Cahn was Frank Sinatra's preferred lyricist and member of the famed 'Rat Pack.'

On Friday, July 30, the much anticipated, Broadway-bound ROBIN AND THE 7 HOODS opened at The Old Globe Theatre in San Diego.
